Do you drink alcoholic beverages? Beers, wines, spirits etc.? What's your favourite tipple? I don't drink. Well, I say I don't drink, but I do take a drink or two once or twice a year (at most). Here in Ireland, it's a drinking culture, it's very hard in a pub to say to someone that you don't want a drink or that you'd rather a mineral. They get very pushy - "Ah go on, you'll have the one", to the point where I've had alcohol put in front of me. I've had folks who were offended by the fact that I would ask for a mineral instead of a drink containing alcohol. Here, it's easier to convince someone you don't drink and eventually they learn. Most folks I encounter these days, know that I don't drink and when I answer with "Yes please, a cola" or similar, it's accepted, but it took a few years of hard work to get there. Do you drink? If you don't, why not and do you find some people are almost offended if you refuse?

I will drink something every once in a while but it is usually on a very special occasion. I like fruity mixed drinks if I am going to have anything. I have gotten a little carried away before..LOL...but I don't do that very often. I am usually very good about moderation. Even if I was a drinker, I really wouldn't have the chance to do alot of it if I wanted too..haha. Now as far as "peer pressure," that has never really been an issue for me. I either do it or I don't want to and it usually irritates me if I feel like someone is trying to pressure me.
