When i graduated high school, that was 5 years ago, it's not that special like other occasion because my family is not complete. My father and my big brother were not there . My dad left us because he can't support us anymore. He doesn't have a regular job. My big brother didn't also attend because he doesn't care for me. He's always with his peers and sometimes he just sleeps with his friends house. It's heartbreaking for me because i love them so much and even if i didn't had a huge party for the celebration of my graduation, all i want was for them to be there as i go up to the stage receiving my diploma. But i guess that's just life. There are just things that happens in life that we can't control. And God has a purpose in making that happen, to make us grow stronger and keep on trusting Him no matter what happens. How about you mylotters? Did your graduation day had so much fun?:)

i cried during my graduation day. not because of tears of joy but because of sadness. it's because my dad was not able to attend my graduation, as well as my boyfriend. all i had was my mom and my elder brother. so that was a sad thing for me.

Hello Krizzy, Im sorry you didn't have the whole family with you on your graduation. But I like your positive spirit that everything happens beyond our control and God has plan for each of us. Let the past be the memory, and let the memory be the part of our life because this memory can be our spirit to learn and to deal with life. It is a lesson for us to learn "I can survive this year, so I can survive another year".
My graduation day was not that bad, actually I was ashamed of myself. I used to be the first rank student in the elementary school and I was ranked 2nd of the whole highschool in my city. But I had a big stress in highschool time and I was not getting a good result, I was kicked out of the top 3 rank. I insisted that I dont like to celebrate it, I dont want my parent to come or anyone to come because I feel like a big loser. But my parent always say they are proud of me no matter what happen, my elder sisters still think that Im their genius little sister. So life is never flat, we have a down moment sometime but use it as a lesson to learn to be better. Well, I dont want to look back at the past to regret it. Its my 3rd year in University and I wish to have a nice graduation day next year.
Yes, you might have an unpleasant graduation day without your dad or your brother, but guess what.. it is shows that you are an independent person, you will survive even without their help. Maybe someday they will return back and show their love to you, maybe they actually love you but they just dont know how to show it. God works with His own way, a cloudy sky will be replaced with a bright sun. I wish you the best Krizzy.

we put signatures in our uniforms like autographs and put drawings of it; dedications and stuff. When we took pictures; we are all messed up and for once somebody scolded us about the uniforms but we were like; "Who cares! we've graduated already..." Nice one for scolding us everytime in wearing uniforms properly; well this is the best time to rant off our feelings and excitements as we graduate.

Ohoho, let me tell you about my high school graduation, because that was a night I'll never forget. My family barely made it out, and even then my mother wasn't there since she had passed away a good time before. Then there were ominous storm clouds rolling in that led to heavy, freezing rain ... the ceremony was pushed back an hour because the school officials were debating on the situation. Finally, they decided to do it then and there, didn't even bother moving the ceremony inside, and we marched through a muddy football field in pouring, cold rain, where we sat for over an hour as a class of 250+ people got their diplomas.
The kicker? Rain stopped right when the ceremony finished. And, apparently, the school officials didn't want to move the ceremony inside because there was a threat of a gang coming to the ceremony to shoot everyone up - they wanted to keep the ceremony outside so if the shooting did happen, everyone would have a nice, wide open space to flee in. The amount of police around the area served as a testament to that.
My warped graduation cap hangs proudly from the edge of my mirror and serves as a constant reminder of that crappy night. All the pictures of me from that night in my gown have me looking like a wet cat that just washed up.

When I graduated from high school, it was not really a big deal as my family didn't really see this as a success but just another essential step in life. It is mandatory that everyone in the family go to a 4 year college get a BA and then move onto a Masters. The best is to get a PHD then you would be accepted as finishing your education. When I received my BA it was more of a celebration of life, and I am sure even more so when I graduate in less than a year from my Master's Program. Just depends on the family I would guess to how everyone takes it.

Wow, that is a high expectation to live up too. When I graduated highschool it was ok , my family is complete but we did not have a lavish party. Just a little get together with my family. It was sad that the people you love will not be there for the occassion you consider special. Indeed life is not always a happy place for us but always trust God. Thy will be done.

:D yap just think positive that all things happen around you, because this life is full of positive and negative thought, life is based on how we treat this life what to be,we wanted it bad or good its our choices, on my graduation i didnt think at any happy time that i can share with my family , because its just a graduation , for me graduation its not really important ,but i think the important things to me is the time when i can make my family happy ,

I don't remember the date that i graduated a high school. When i graduated university, no family members in there with me at all, they live quite far and that date is also not sweet in my memories at all.
However, I had a nice day when graduated master degree, with flowers from friends and congratulation from class-mates because I got the highest score for my thesis. I made a phone call to my mom and dad and they was so so happy with it and i was happy too. That day is truly my special day in my school time.
