I have been seeing several articles about the hybrid and electric cars, lately.
One item that I have found interesting is that only 30% of the poeple who currently own one will say that they will buy another in the future.
To me that sounds like the future of these cars is not to bright, unless the techonogy improves a lot. There are many gas cars that are starting to reach the same mpg as the hybrid cars.
And it appears to me that many of these cars are having problems.
It will be interesting in the future to see where this takes us.

When it comes to the electric cars. I wonder just where do you plug them in at? I most certaintly do not want to run my electric bill up anymore than it is. I just can't see how it is even practical. If you did have a place to plug them in at when on the road, are you charged by the wattage? I am so confused on this one. I have also been hearing about the excellent gas mileas on the New Prius and really wish that I could afford one. As far as the electric and hybrid,I am not sure I would buy one.

Excellent points.
Electric cars so far only get a few miles before recharge. And the recharge takes hours on a normal 120/240 volt circuit. But the cost per unit energy is lower with electricity than with gas, so there is a savings here. As for as CO2 Emissions, the electric power plant releases CO2 to make the electricity, so there is still CO2 emissions being created.
And for the cost. You can buy a lower cost vehicle, and the cost for the extra fuel will still save you money in the bank. The higher cost of the Prius for over all dollar saving, really does not end up saving you very much money because you are paying for the extra cost of the car. With the 3 year pay rule that is in the industry, I do not think it is not a good deal, unless you drive 100,000+ miles a year.

Everyone is complaining of hybrid and electrical cars worldwide. Some say that they are no storing enough electrical energy for a long journey while others are just fed up with the much they are paying for the increasing electrical bill. The manufacturer will rectify these small issues with no time and I am also eager to see the future to this industry.

I am one for hybrid and electric cars. I would love to own one and hope that the price for these types of cars become affordable for us here in my country. We have a problem here in my country when it comes to rising gas prices. The big oil companies who supply the gas here wouldn't think twice in raising prices once the price of crude oil rises in the world market. But when it goes down, they will not lower their prices because they claim to buy their supply at the higher price. But you cannot hear them say that they will not raise the prices if Dubai crude rose in that same day. You can expect them to increase the price immediately and seem to forget that they have some stocked bought at lower prices. One government official even said that most oil companies here in my country have supplies or stocks that will last for two months. But when it comes to prices, they rely on the current price when raising it, but not when lowering the price.

I drive a Toyota Prius, and I Love it. Recently I drove it back from South Texas, to Ontario Canada, a trip of over 2000 miles, Gas prices were over $4.00 a gal, and the gasoline cost of the trip was $180.00. This car is a gem, it has many unusual, and handy features, all of which are superior to other brands. Every Prius owner I know, also love their cars, and would never buy anything else.
I've had this car since 2009, and have not had one complaint, not even one little problem.
But I agree with you that hybrid and electric cars of other makes are not a good buy!

I love my Prius and would definitely buy another one. I love that I spend less for gas and that I don't have to fill up as often. I should have bought one sooner!

It would be interesting to see if hybrid cars end up making it or not. One of the big incentives of buying one was that they were able to take the carpool lane and that law is no longer in effect which deters many from getting them. Also, many places to park do not have ports for them to 'plug in' making it difficult to do long trips with the car. The small size is probably just one more thing that makes it difficult if people want to go on trips with luggage.
