This is the greatest love we have received

John 3:16 said that there is no other greater love than the love given to us by God since he has given us His Son and let Him die at the cross for us. As I meditate this word from the bible during the holy week, I have pondered and had been grateful for this love. Because of the Lord's Love for us, he had given up his heavenly life ( a life full of comfort and prestige) and turn into a man like us. He felt hunger, he felt fatigue, he felt thirst. He also bears the kind of death that he need to go through, so that we can come to God through Jesus. And also, with His sufferings from the cause, He has gave us hopes to be with Him in Paradise. We should thank Him for this gift that He has given us.

There is no greater love than that of a man laying down his son’s life for people who have rejected him and such is the love of our heavenly father. I once saw a movie of a railway man who let his child get squashed by a bridge in order to save the lives of people on board of a train. That is exactly what God did for us.
