This is pure imagination. One fine day something terrible happens.Out of nowhere a huge meteor comes in the path of the Earth`s orbit and collides with it.What happens? The Earth gets knocked off its axis and suddenly the gravitational force which had kept everything on the ground is lost.The effect is catastrophic.Everything that is on the ground gets airborne.Friends i want you to use your imagination and tell me what would happen and how it would affect us in our daily life.I can guess the results would be mind boggling.Looking forward to your answers.

Earth losing its gravitational force is possible but only for a short span of time. There is this phenomenon as the scientist would say that the Earth's magnetic field is constantly changing. There will come a time when the North pole that we know will become the South pole and vice versa. We may not notice it but it is a gradual thing. It will take hundreds or thousands of years for a complete reversal to happen. In fact it is happening right now. Scientists also say that when the magnetic forces have completely reversed, the Earth will experience a short time of weightlessness. There will be no gravity during that time. As for what will happen, I cannot imagine what will happen. Imagine all the water from the oceans. What will happen to it if there is no gravity. What can we possibly do if there is no gravity. We might as well just float around and head towards a grocery store if we are hungry. hahaha...

Yes, i have read about the slow change in the polar caps.As for the groceries they will all be in outer space and we would have to go there to get them. One good thing is that we would not need any passports and visas to go anywhere as we could float and fly to any country of our choice.In fact all countries would cease to exist and the earth would be one country.

It is we who are in outer space. hahaha... The groceries will still be intact and rooted onto the ground. We have to make a device to navigate us there...

Everything not secured to the ground would be floating. So would we. Everything would be up in the ceiling. Grocery shopping would be a challenge. The carts, the people and the groceries would all be in the air. It would be hard to catch and hold the food since it wouldn't stay in baskets anyway.
On the plus side, people in wheelchairs and stuck in beds wouldn't have pressure sores.

The earth’s gravitational force is what keeps everything earth bound. Therefore, if the earth was to lose its gravitational force this means that everything would be space bound leaving the earth as bare as the moon. This would mean the end of the world for the human race as we know it. This is because; the survival of human beings is dependant on the earth as we know it.

The force of gravity is present in everything even in tiny pebbles etc. So it the earth lost it so would all other bodies in the universe including the sun. So we with all the other planets would drift off into out space and our atmosphere would disappear. Life would not be possible. The power of gravity is a major factor in controlling how life on earth exists and develops. Even if it was a slightly more powerful force or slightly less powerful we would not exist in the form that we do it it that critical

* swims through the air*
*Sees pig floating by*
"Wait a minute. Didn't I tell that one guy that I'd give him a kiss when pigs fly? DAMMIT!"

I and you wouldnt be writing these on mylot. We would be floating and perhaps will need to take some expert course on how to survive on zero gravity conditions

I think the Earth's gravitational force will not loss merely by colliding with a meteor, But it may change. Due to the impact of collision and change of gravitational force, position of the Earth may change. It can bring awesome changes in the conditions of the planet. Many living beings including human beings would face extinction. It is horrible even to image.

considering the fact that the air will be gone and the meteor would cause huge explosions and toxic gases i don't think we will have to much time to complain about the effects.
it is almost instant good bye:)
