I am so wanted...

Glad to hear that you are wanted. I think that it's important for us to feel that we are truly needed. When others show that they care about us and our advice it does make us feel special. We are then able to accomplish a lot because our self esteem is so much higher.

Every one feels the need to be wanted by the people in our lives. This gives us a sense of purpose. No one wants to be overlooked and treated as if they are good for nothing and thus the excitement that children at times feel when there parents make them feel that they are better at something than their siblings.

Hi toni! It certainly gives us a kind of high and a kind of boost when others (read friends) make us feel that we are important for them and we are needed by them. The feeling that we are 'special' gives us a kind of happiness, which is beyond words. Each one of us wants to be recognized and acknowledged and when we are loved and valued by others, we feel on cloud nine.

thats what a beautiful person like you will get a full attention from other people...but what about us the not so impressive looking people most of the time people ignore us and makes us feel no one needed us...youre lucky to habe good friends take care of them and love them back as they have loved you

It is. I felt it when most of my friends seemed to depend on me on certain things which they had no skill in. I thought everybody wanted me so bad. I was great. You are lucky if you always feel that way.

I also think it is important how the people treat others in the life. There is an old proverb treat others as you like to be treated. I have also found out in life that with some people I will be very happy and with some people I do not. I think it is how they treat them and make them feel. I think some people make us feel secure and will never let us go in our live and do really care for us.

Well, my dear friend, your reasoning, I think, is more than correct. Even I often feel useful to others, I like helping people who need, and for this I have often appreciated. But beyond the "praise", is certainly not the only reason that I feel satisfied! We are all useful, but not always indispensable! So I wish to be appreciated on the one hand, but in things, or in aid that I can give to other people, my gratitude is already in the act of love that I do for them!

i'm very fussy about friends.. and i live in a place where it's all about image etc, and people are fickle and nasty here sometimes, and it's hard to find good decent friends. but the friends i do have, i make sure they know how much i value them. i'm glad your friends value you, it shows you are a good person :)

It is nice to feel appreciated by others. It's always a pleasure to help others in need. The title misled me a little you could have been wanted for other things :)). I'm glad you have friends and you feel good about wanting to help them. I know the feeling and I would help my friends anyway I can if and when they ask for it

Feeling of getting valued is always a blessing but expecting to be valued is always pain . So if your getting import and in people life that's really appreciate able ,this gives you a reason for happy cherished life but never ever expect too much importance because if you won't get it then it will really hurt.
