I think all this while after I have been dealing with lots of people for 10 years, I want to stay at home and earn. Last time, as some of you who has been following my discussion, know that I work in a research company. Today, my supervisor call me to go to work for telephone interviewer again but I found it hard to make myself go. Maybe because of my depression, other than that I don't like being tied up in the office and supervise. Do you think online job gives you a lot of flexibility and priority to do your own thing? What do you choose online or offline?

If I could find a legitamate online job that would replace my job earnings I would do the online. I hate having to get up every morning and fight traffic to go to work. I would love to stay home and work. That way you would be their if your children or family needed you. You would not have to worry about getting ready, if you wanted to work all day in your pajamas you could.

Yeah, for offline sometimes is so energy drained, I could not rest properly at night thinking what a day has been to me, so I did not sleep. I get insomnia, hopefully I can find a own business to take care of soon. Just a small business will do.

You are so right , sassy ,I personally have to wake up 2 hours before going out to work : I need to brush my teeth , relax , take my dog for a walk , prepare some food so I won't have to buy food outside , take a shower , shave my face , prepare the paper work and wait 15 minuts at the bus station before the bus supposed to get there.
If the alarm clock doesn't ring , I can wake up too late as my boss calls me on the phone and i'm still in my bed. It happened and it felt so stressfull.

I am a stay at home mom and love the thought of making money from home. It has been almost ten years since my last job. I do not know much about online jobs and have looked online for quite some time. I agree, it seems as if a person would have more flexibility by working online. I welcome the opportunity to work online and not have to go to an office everyday. Do you work from home?

Right now, I am off from projects at my research company, and I am at home everyday making extras, but I am thinking to do it fulltime as I love flexibility.

I prefer a job away from the computer because to be honest, I make more money. It's hard to make a consistent income online.

There are some jobs you can do from home. I'm not talking about extra incomes. There are serious jobs paying good money for working online.

Hi Choiyee, yes, online job is as close to our own business.
At least we do not feel that we are working for someone else.
The only problem with online job is that the earning is too low.
Most of us cannot even get half the salary even if we work on it much harder than working on our full time job.
I stay in your neighboring country, Singapore.
The exchange rate is not good at the moment, since my currency is too strong.
when I started writing articles a few years ago, the rate was USD1 to S$1.50. Now the rate has dropped to $1.25.
It does not seem a great difference, until you multiply by a hundred dollars or more per month.

To me, I only earn about 50 bucks a month from a site. I am trying at my best to spend the whole day in front of the computer but I feel so tired and boring sometimes I rather work offline but it has the consequences.

Online jobs are good for sure. I prefer online jobs , but the problem is, we could hardly find the legit sites, and if we find them, the earnings are not well enough.

I Agree online jobs are risky. But on the other hand it can be fun because there are sites like My Lot were you can enjoy and have a great fun interacting with different kinds of people exchanging ideas and then being compensated.

I would choose offline job that has a higher pay. hehe. Doing my job at home saves time and energy. You also save a lot of money because you wont spend too much for transportation. It is more convenient for you because there are no reporting time so you wont get late. You can also work in your pajamas. hehehe

Yes, you could do so as nobody will see you in your home except your kids and spouse, and you can adjust your own time also.

To tell you the truth , I also had a work at home but was offline : I gave private lessons on a subject called introduction to computer scienses , for students.
So , I had only one student and I didn't get much. At least my social security was paid for me. I had all the time I wanted to study and prepare my student's lesson.
Too bad I didn't do it during college. I could be less lazy , study hard and get to a level where I can teach other students the next semester.

I think if you really know how to snoop around you could actually earn big doing an online job. Besides, if i have a better paying online job than my current offline one, i'd rather opt for the latter.

I also want to work online because I can see my family at any given time and can attend their needs. I want to do jobs which is related to my course but it seems most online jobs are IT related. I need to study IT.

great discussion, thanks, i only do mylot online as i m hoping to get better and better each day and i already see some proof in my hard work by earrings im getting
but i have alot of time to devote to mylot and that is the key dont spread yourself too thin find something you like and get good at it and earn..
i also just got a pt job at a hotel only on weekends 4 hours a day.. so that fits my schedule and i will always have money.. who knows i may let my earrings here on mylot keep building by setting my pay out at 100.00 that would be a nice check..
but if you are depressed , you need friends and other people in your life as well i have bipolar and deal with low's and high's and since i started devoting myself only to mylot . during the week.. it helped me out of depression and now my job is helping me as well i get to see people and hear them tell me what i good job i do
becasue i try hard.. and i do have a best freind offline, and another online i talk to.. best of luck.. have fun :}

Online earning seems to be a big craze that is here to stay, but can you honestly do a full time job online as opposed to being at a physical place? The answer is not complex but it's not as easy as you think.
I've answered this before in other similar discussions the pros and cons on Internet based jobs as opposed to working for an employer, or being even self employed with your own business.
The only true way anyone is going to make an honest living using the Internet is by having your own BUSINESS that must have started OFFLINE.
You just can't get around this. Sure, you can find honest and legitimate jobs on the Internet but they can't measure up to having a physical location where your customers and clients can SEE what they are getting for your services and/or what you sell.
I haven't been able to achieve a job in over a year and half. How have I been able to survive? By getting unemployment checks and online websites that I use. The unemployment is really is what allowed me to survive in my own. The online earning only helps makes the bills. Beyond that, it's about what the hell am going to look at for the extra flexibility that is missing to move around.
If one person can come forward and say that they honestly are making a decent income that amounts to at least $20k a year, then I will be willing to stop being so skeptical.

It gives yo kind of a lot of flexibility, though, if yo join too many programmes yo could end up having even less time for yourself!

I think offline jobs are still better. Online earnings aqe just made to give additional earnings to people and not made to be a permanent job unless you are the maker of the site. Offline jobs pays good amount to hardworker. Unlike online earning sites, offline jobs needs extra effort because they do not only require a computer and your typing skills. If i will have to choose, i want to have a good job but not online unless there is a legitimate site that will pay its members a stable amount of at least 300 dollars a month but they don't exists.

300 dollars will be equal to 1000 ringgit in my country. I really hope I can find one site that will pay me this much.

I have a job offline. But I think I prefer online, because I can work from home, and I can choose when I can do my work. And I enjoy and have fun on online jobs.

I don't work online but I do choose to work at home. I wouldn't have it any other way. I simply insist on the flexibility to be home and available for my child at all times of the day. Though he is in school most of the day, I want to be able to help out at his school and be finished with my work by the end of the day so I have time with him. I know that I would have a very difficult time returning to an office job with set hours at this stage of my life.

I prefer offline jobs more...i can select my job preferences and i can earn more offline compared to online jobs..also i can enjoy online jobs as part time job to earn more money because i can't earn more online as i am from india..so i would be happy to earn 20k offline and abt 5-10 k online.it would be sufficient for me as 22 year old computer engineer..

I perfer online but to fine a good paying on line job is what really counts. I have not seen any real good ones unless you want to invest alot of money to get started and that is a maybe.. however working not online and have a steady job at least you KNOW you have something coming in. and You KNOW you get paid.. so if possible I would stay with both and work up..I enjoy my own time at home quit when I want and set my own time..but yet a penny here and there is not nothing unless you can make alot..so think of pay it will run out if you stop working ...jobs are hard to find anymore...

Sure, sometimes it is quite tiring when working in the office, boss, works, salary...many things else.
It seems so free when doing online job. However, my earning online currently is very low, so that i don't think only online job will give me enough money for my monthly living.
I still work in the office and earn extra money from online only and I am very happy with it.

I wouldn't quit my office job if I had one. You are lucky to have steady paying job. Online jobs are very hard to find, at least good paying ones or ones that don't scam you, so be careful, do lots of research before giving up good job for online one. Good Luck! my lot, friend!!!
