I think I want to produce a game

I am a fan of some certain videogame genres but those genres died and I kinda want it back. One of my dreams is to be rich, thats why I am working hard and I am saving tons of money, Most videogame producers are employees of big companies and finished computer based college courses, But going to college is not part of my plan.
From my salary I had been saving a lot of money while thinking of a certain dream or passion.
I heard there are videogame producers who dont have experience, they just happen to have the money and passion, they researched well and hired the right people. so it makes me think, can I produce a successful videogame if I have the money and hired the right people even without the experience.
so I just realized I just need money, resources and people.
I know many Indie videogame producers fail, so yeah I know I have more way to go before I can go to pursue this dream. I dont want to fail though......
but
I notice a lot of Indie games are making more money than some mainstream titles.Look angry birds that game created with a small budget.

You need a really good idea for the game to be successful. If you don't have it and you want to make games just for the sake of making games, you're probably going to fail.

I do have ideas and I have lots of them, I do know what elements a game needed to be successful. The producer of skullgirls kinda inspired me cos he is ridiculed but the game he created is doing well in sales and was to have potential to outsell Street Fighter X tekken, though the Skullgirls is released on the right timing.

So how's it coming along? Like I already mentioned you'll need an artist, a writer, and developer for the project. You can get an investor like honest_effort suggested, or you can crowdfund... Though given how gamers have been letdown by crowdfunding i.e. Mighty No. 9, you might wanna know the investor route...

@Hanyouyomi I just found out visual novels can be done with Renpy too. So I may try a "Choose your own adventure" type stuff, once I finished this dating sim.

@CaptAlbertWhisker You're currently looking to make a dating sim? Okay then... Though it makes sense as fighting and survival horror would be harder and more time consuming and costly to make. Plus this would be a way to get your foot in the door...

Go on produce one. Nobody preventing you to do that. Just make it cool so that it would be discovered and shared by your friends.

@ramyarsoj She's gonna need a writer, artist, and developer before she can produce. And that'll cost money, because she'll also have to pay them. And she's also gonna need an idea many of them will want to work on.

There are many ways of developing products without necessarily having the capital required. One such way is getting an investor to give you money to develop your product. Usually all the investor needs is to be convinced that your venture is viable and will make him a profit. This way, you still own the product and once the investor makes his agreed return, the rest of the profit is yours.

@honest_efforts100 I was also thinking of suggesting crowdfunding, but given how Mighty No. 9, and I think Shemue 3 turned out... Yeah an investor might be the best way to go. Because I think gsmers might have trust issues when it comes to crowdfunding at this point...Maybe....
