England 'jealous' of IPL - Pietersen

I disagree! As an Indian fan its very convenient to agree with KP and blame people and media of England.But fact of the matter is there isnt any reason of so called jealousy KP is talking about.The television ratings of IPL have fallen as compared to last year from 101 million to 90 millon,that means there are lot of Indian fans who are either bored of IPL or they are upset due to disappointing performance of India since World cup and they have not turned up to watch this tournament.So the point is that if interest of IPL is becoming less in India itself ,how can you expect that Eng or any other foreign fans will be interested in any such tournament.Over that majority of Eng fans does not take T20 cricket that seriously,they are not much interested in ODIs too,so why would they care for IPl or be jealous for that matter?

I think England cricket board is not responsible for not many players playing in IPL. many players are in the IPL auction but many franchises was not interested in buying them. They need boom boom players like Peterson.

I hope he does not get into trouble with ECB for these comments. But I am not sure whether it is jealousy. Also I think there are other England players like Owais Shah who are around in the IPL teams. Cheers! Ram

In one or other way he did say something truthfull. Due to lack of much interest in England about the cricket and most of them now invlove much in soccer as like of other euprope. Unlike there INDIANS love cricket much more and they didn't care avout other game. That is not there so much like of it is not there. Also most of English pl;ayer like say............few oare good playing and they are in teams performing. might be Pietesean is from South afrcia origianly so he he telling like that - i disclame for this for this stament.
