Well I know where my vote is going. I have to say that people do not know how the whole economy works at all. I mean he is not Jesus, people expected him to snap his fingers and say okay we have jobs and money now. Well people it does not work that way. He is pulling us out of the mess that Bush put us in. One we did not need to be in Iraq any way and for two that man was not a good President at all. I am looking at the candidates now and none of them know what they are talking about. Everyday people talk and want someone new, well it will not change nothing at all. We will still be in debt and that is all I have to say. Everyone else gets to say their opinion and here is mine. :)

":I have to say that people do not know how the whole economy works at all." Very true. For instance, Obama thinks you can keep spending money like a drunken sailor and borrowing more money from China when we are already broke and are already too deeply in debt. He's thinks you can spend your way out of debt. He certainly doesn't seem to know how the economy works. "One we did not need to be in Iraq any way" Obama has gone one better on this. Whereas Bush had congressional approval for Afghanistan and Iraq, Obama didn't get approval when he decided to bomb Libya. And yes, he did put troops on the ground. But even better, Obama is responsible for three wars of his own - the race war, the gender war and the class war. Divide and conquer, I guess, but used on his own country. BTW, are you sure he's not Jesus? Evan Thomas of Newsweek said Obama was "like God", he was floating "above it all". So, maybe the mistaken impression that Obama is the Messiah is one that the press gave purposely. Maybe you can't help but fail when people think they've elected God. But that was 2008. Now we all know better and there's no excuse for voting for Obama, we know he doesn't know how the economy works or how to pull anyone out of a mess.

And thinking oneself to be God can get you and your country in a world of hurt. Ask the French, as the ancient Persians, ask the Romans, ask the Germans....etc.

The thing that angers me about politics, is that no matter what person is elected people expect an immediate change. The truth to this is that there is no way the economy is just going to suddenly turn around. If we want change in our country we need to have a president that is able to work efficiently with Congress. Even if we do accomplish in starting a change it will take many years of hard work to make a great impact. As for the whole Obama thing, I believe that people are angry that while he has been in office he hasn't really changed anything, but this really isn't his fault because when he does try to sign a new bill or something Congress just blocks it. If you ask me I believe that Obama should be reelected, and we should shift are focus to get some new Congress members that are willing to compromise for change. Even though lots of people may have a "Nobama" attitude I believe that if Obama had a Congress that would work with him, then he would be a very successful president.

@debrakcarey President is Black they do not want to work with him it is not the other way around. As long as they try and keep all their money they do not care. @Supertool I agree Congress needs to pull their heads out and start working with him, because I see him being here for another 4 years. You are right congress blocks everything, because they either take a vacation or they plain just do not want him there. They better get with the program because after president Obama they may see a woman sitting in that office. He made history the first black president and everybody mad.

Seems that no one looks at the fact that, no matter what he has done or hasn't done, he made history, first Black president. As for whether Bush was a good or bad president, there is one thing no one has addressed, every President, good or bad, inherits the mistakes or accomplishments of the previous administration. As for 'we did not need to be in Iraq'....what should we have done, just waited for them to hit us again? As for Obama, I didn't vote for him the last time, I won't vote for him this time!

You're a riot Lucky. You're pretending that you weren't going to play the race card, yet I've already seen you play it 4 times so far. Should we be lowering the bar because he's black? Is that what you want? Personally, I think it's INSULTING to black people if we lower the bar for them affirmative action style. The media gave him a pass for years because people like Chris Matthews thought it was their JOB to pretend he's a good president. See where that got us? He quadrupled the deficit, added $5 trillion to the national debt, started an illegal war in Libya, and prolonged the recession. Playing the race card won't change his record as a failure.

The issue is, as I stated, it didn't matter if he was a good or bad president, he made history! That's what mattered. And as of yet, have I met one person that voted for him, or will admit they voted for him.

Thank you and the issue is just that he is Black so they do not want to work with him. I really was not gonna play that card, but it is what it is.

Because Canadians never owned black slaves, we have very little racial prejudice, and perhaps this is one reason Pres.Obama is so well liked in Canada. We see him as the only reasonable choice for President in November. Obama is faced with obstacles on every path, placed there by Republican millionaires who are willing to bring the country to its knees, and to ignore the poor, in order to placate their rich friends, and their own bank accounts. In their eyes President Obama is just another poor black man!

Canadians did have black slaves. http://blackhistorycanada.ca/timeline.php?id=1800 Americans are poed because he wracked up an additional $5 Trillion dollar credit card bill with absolutely no plan to pay for it except to let others deal with it down the road. This year alone, he is set to wrack up another Trillion and that's without Obamacare which goes up in price every time the CBO reevaluates it. They are also po'ed because of the very obvious wastes that are coming out like Solynadra and slowing downing the amount of drilling on Federal land. You want some hard facts about Obamacare. Your Canadian government has a deal with your public and private insurance companies that pretty much sets the price for services. You make up the costs with higher taxes. However, Obamacare has no such agreement. That means it fundamentally fails in the effort to control prices. The government does not and cannot dictate the prices of health services. The only thing they do is dictate how much they reimburse doctors and service costs for Medicare and Medicaid. That's it. As a result, the costs can continue to increase regardless of how many people enter the system because Obamacare cannot cap the cost of services.

Hey we are not bashing Canadians here. Barehugs made a comment and that is it. Birth control debate was because they wanted birth control in the store without having a prescription. You should have a prescription and pay for your birth control, because some use it as a form to kill an unborn baby. There is a pill here that does that.

I think there's been a glitch at myLot. Something very strange has happened. A post from 2008, when Senator Barack Obama was running for President, has been lost in limbo only to return in 2012. I'm voting for Ross Perot.

No politician is perfect! But we humans need leaders so we choose people of who we think can do the job as good as possible! Sometimes we have good options but choose the wrong ones, while at other times we choose the right ones at the time! The truth is that politicians are human beings and that circumstances can change so they have to do their best to adapt to it and to work out the best option for everyone else. We humans have the tendency to blame outer circumstances instead of blaming ourselves if things don't go the way we wish or want them go. But we usually haven't gotten all the background knowledge of what's really going on as the media likes to keep us in the dark for various reasons... But however bad or good a politician might appear-always imagine a world without a leader and were everyone would do what he/she wants.... So stop blaming polticians...

Yeah, but that is the thing it happens anyway. There are a lot of things that have happened. I mean I understand everyone's frustration and that is what I am saying it is dumb to think that we will be out of debt and have other stuff when it has been screwed for years. I just wanted to place my opinion on the matter, because that is what I do. Thanks for commenting as well and expressing your opinion.

@Stowyk yes it is, but no one works miracles it has always been an issue. I mean that will be an issue for a long time and whose to say that it can be fixed. People do not hire because they cannot afford to keep them. This is a money issue as well. Everyone is at risk even the Military.

We just want President Obama to stop spending a Trillion dollars a year. Yes, we want him to spend less because the income he is receiving aka taxes is less. The fact is that time and time again, the administration has proven that they can't handle money. It's a fact. So much of it has been completely wasted on projects that go bankrupt, misrepresenting the costs, or even such a simplistic thing as getting a workable budget on the table. No one expects the debt to completely disappear but what is expected is a reverse or a slowing down on the borrowing on America's credit card. It is a terrible example he is setting for the country. A lot of people have gotten in trouble with credit card debt and that is what he is doing, showing people that as long as the money keeps getting charged to the American credit card, who cares how it is spent. The bills can be paid later, after he is out of office and the country is too broke to dig itself out of the hole.

Well, I know the fear I felt in my gut in 2008 when I knew we were close to meltdown and the FDIC was rushing in and trying to shore up failing banks. I think Barak Obama has done a very credible job of stabailzing things. I think he would have done a lot more if the Senate had not beaten down every good thing he proposed. At any rate, I am definitely willing to give him four more years.

What "good thing" did he propose that was beaten down by the senate? He had a super majority in both houses for the first two years and still has a majority in the senate.

Obama is just the same as Bush. Oh and speaking of someone who doesn't know the facts of this whole mess that Bush didn't put us in. This would be the work of Clinton and the Federal Reserve Chairman that he had Alan Greenspan. These are the people who carry far more of the blame than Bush ever could. It was the Federal Reserve that formed the Housing Bubble they created it through keeping the interest rates low which got people who don't understand the economy any more than they think they need to. The low interest rates got people to buy now and not save for the future. The low interest rate allowed the explosion in subprime loans. Then you have HUD (Department of Housing and Urban Development) setting the goal of Freddie and Fannie to have a 57% loan level to low income to lower middle class. These people generally are in the Subprime loan range. So this mess was caused by the Government before Bush and a little bit during bush but this started in the clinton years. Obama is a failure in that he has killed a US Citizen without trial and thinks its constitutional to even kill US Citizens here within the United States. He believes it to be constitutional to at the will of the Executive Branch to detain anyone for any reason without having to ever have a trial. Obama is actually far worse than Bush in the regard for the disregard of Human Rights and heck even international law when it comes to war. Obama has Targeted civilians in a foreign Country for murder by US Forces. This would be the murder of 14 Women and Children in Yemen by US Forces. This attack yielded the killing of no terrorist just women and children. This was reported by a journalist in Yemen to which Obama pressured the Government to lock him up with out charge and then when the Yemen government was going to release him. Obama called the Yemen Government to threaten them as this journalist is helping terrorist even though our own Military Intelligence said he was a major asset to them on a number of occasions in finding out the structure of numerous terrorist cells.

Obama has been in office THREE YEARS, and can't even pass a budget. He has almost DOUBLED our national debt since he was elected. The price of gas has almost doubled since he took office. Unemployment is higher than it has been since the Great Depression!

Yes I do not mind the responses, because my opinion stands and that is how everything goes. I am 100% democrat and I like what he is trying to do for the country, but people have to learn to save money you have to pay certain things like taxes and all of that. I mean yes the war did us in and it was uncalled for. We did not need to be there we just wanted Bin laden and we got him. Everything takes time, but people want an instant approval and it will not work that way at all. You should never be hurt by comments haters are gonna hate. If you have an opinion state it and no matter what anyone else says. I wanted people to comment, because I knew they would. I was bored and wanted to add a discussion on this forum and I love politics like I love law. I can see what is going on when others cannot. Thank you for commenting as well.

That is so correct! President Obama can't be blamed for all the stuff wrong with the US! He inherted alot form Bush Like you mentioned! That is so true! Obama also has to deal with the US senate and US congress! So as soon as something go wrong the President is blamed! With all the complainers out there I would like to see them be the president and see how hard it is! They would change their mind then!

I never expected him to snap his fingers and make everything ok. What I did expect him to do, was not make things worse. Everything Obama has done as made things worse. And no, he didn't pull us out of a mess Bush put us in. If anything, he dug the hole deeper. Now we have $17 Trillion in debt, our economy is still bad after all this debt we have, and *YOU* are going to pay the taxes to pay back all that debt. You don't have a problem with this? You're going to pay higher and higher taxes for the next 30 years of your life, to pay back what Obama has done in 3 years? That's not an issue for you? Why? How? If your parents got a bunch of Credit Card in YOUR NAME, and charged them all up so that now you have $50,000 dollars in debt you'll have to pay back for years, would you not have a problem with this? psst.... Obama did the same thing, and unlike a credit card where you can deny paying the debt as fraud... You *WILL* pay back the money Obama borrowed in your name. No issue with that at all huh?

Well, every country is the same. Every citizen has the same perception towards the government. We always look for the wrong in one person. Why not try to see what he has done in the country for a change. He won the election after all. Meaning, he won because people has seen something in him. Why doubt that now?

Hi! Thanks for saying so and I agree with you--this mess we are in won't be solved overnight and I do wish others would acknowledge it. Like the Great Depression, (it took us nearly 10 years to get out of that one) I expect its going to take us another term to get out of what we are in now.
