That is truly shocking indeed- it's like when Pia was voted off too, too bad there wasn't any judges save anymore. I wonder why, what state does she belong to anyway? usually people only vote for the contestant which belongs to the same state.

She's from San Diego. And I guess a big factor also is that she is Asian, lesser people to vote in America.

Being Asian is not really the factor, The factor is that she is a girl. I know that sounds ridicolous but I am basing my opinion base on the majority voters,'
these articles proven the reason why female singers struggle in idol:

Fine, let her go then, I've had enough with these people showing their insecurity and their true colors on her. i feel sad now and most specially if she gets eliminated again next week.but that's the end of me watching that show, i only watch there because of that contestant, with her gone, i ain't watching it one bit

I watched the show last night. I thought that Jessica was dynamite. I had to work this evening and only got the results when I got home just a little bit ago. I, too, was shocked that Jessica got the lowest votes. I am glad that the judges saved her.
But that was their one and only save. From now on, someone has to go home. And the remaining contestants are all so very talented that whoever goes home will be one of the very talented ones.

I have heard that two contestants will be sent home next week. Someone has to go home. All the remaining contestants are very talented. So it means that a very talented contestant or two will be going home. One could be Jessica. Remember they are all young and all talented and poised. All of them will have great lives and careers. At least I hope so!!!

Hello Risk_taker, Yeah, I've heard in many many threads lately. but if idol judges wanted to regain the respect of the viewers, they shouldn't have saved her. besides, she has a future career out of her singing.i believe she will get eliminated again next week if they can saved her now, it's gonna be a lot worse next week

Majority of voters in American idol are little girls ages 11 to 16 and they had been the majority voters of Idol in the last 4 seasons. This happens ever since they allowed text votes in idol. Young girls votes for the cute guy, they dont care how good the singer is if they were not the cute guy with a guitar, That has been a pattern in the last 4 seasons. I dont find it shocking at all, female contestants had been butchered by the majority voters.
Then there is Votefortheworst, Its an internet club that intentionally votes for the worst singers, they have 1 million members I think. They vote for the worst singer to make sure idol gets cancelled.

It's wierd yeah but shame on her for being overrated. It's already the top 7 and fans are trying hard to vote for thier idols. Jessica fans are too confident.
