I'm an Indian. I'm proud to be an Indian. Well, It is not possible for me to write about India because there are so many things to tell and I don't know what is more important to mention because everything is best here! I'm just thinking, what is in India, you can find it no where else, whether it be the people, their ways, their languages, these places. Aren't they simple unique?? And if you go back to history, our ancestors have left so much of richness (not just money but in every aspects) for us. But now, we fail to realize that and look for west. It's terrible while they respect us and take and accept, respect everything best in India!! So,, mylotters?? What do you think about India and how are Indians changing? What do you like about India??
If you are an Indian, are you proud to be an Indian??

I am an Indian and I proud to be one. What I like most about my country is its diversity.Unity in diversity. That is something that we hear often about our country and to great extent it is true. From Kanyakumari to Jammu we can see diverse people, traditions, cultures etc.The most important thing is secularism.Followers of all religion enjoy equal status infront of the judiciary. The culture that we have here now is the amalgamation of indigenous and foreign cultures.
Many people here fail to realize the potentialities of our nation, curse our culture and praise others'.They don't realize that they are spitting on their own face.
I love ma India.
Thank you musiclover.
Happy mylotting

I live in Texas and have never been to India but would love to go. I became interested in India because so many of my friends have visited India. Some of these friends spent many months and even years in India. The majority were on a spiritual quest and found a master or guru in India.
India is a huge country, very diverse in every way possible. i have studied India a little but there is still so much to learn. And one can not learn without spending some time in the land.
I love Indian food. I love the culture, and the art. I have studied Buddhism and Hinduism. These religions have enriched my lives.

I'm so happy to read your response. Though I live in India, I have never been to northern part of it, I have not seen even a little of India and Indian heritage. There is so much to see. I'm just waiting for it. Your response has brought an enthusiasm in me!!

I am glad that I have excited you about seeing your own land. It is great to go abroad and expand your horizons but I think it is equally as important to discover and re-discover your own country.
India has so much to offer you. It will probably cost less to travel within India and it will probably be simpler than leaving the borders. After you see you own country, then there are other countries to discover.

India is a beautiful country. I especially like the food and the songs in your country. The music is quite cheerful. Even if I don't understand its lyrics, but it doesn't matter. Your country has a long wonderful culture and this is very attractive. And lately I started to watch a few Indian movies and I found they are great.
I love China

I love my country too, it is quite common to have the feeling of belonging and love on your land of birth, i can understand that. I am humble to be who i am, not proud of who i am, that is the only difference between me and you. Yes, you have a big country, and many different and unique things like culture, tradition, belief, people and custom. And also long beautiful shoreline around the land. Hope you continue to enjoy the richness of your country and always remain the best of all you can be.

Hi friend..!
I'm also an Indian..I'm proud to an Indian..There are so many visiting spots..I love my country.. I wan't to see all visiting places like Taj Mahal, Qutab Minar, Red Fort etc... But I don't know why people leaving our country and visiting other Foreign places. But why this is my question..!?
I am proud to be an Indian Because i really like all the cultures and traditions and Indian Government has Given equal Importance to all states and Religion,This is what secularism mean..In most of the countries all around the world, this was not possible..Because of this great achievement,As an Indian,i should be proud..India has also achieved almost Full democracy..And i really like this changing India that Government in India are investing a lot got the development of people..This made me think that we should love our country...
Many people think that India is a developing country,,But India is not..India is actually a developed country..But the people in India does not think like this...They do not have any trust and does not say the glory of our country but say the glory of other countries..It is because we think that India is not good yet..This kind of mentality is wrong..We should always say good..I hope people in India have a good mentality and be patriotic...
Very good discussion. I like it very much. thanks for starting. Happy mylotting

What I love in India is the movies!!!
I have watched " THe Three Idiots". The movie is profound! It has so much life lessons that one can adopt. Also, the other movie about a child who can't write becauce of Dyslexia. These movies are so good! I am looking forward to watching more indians movies!!!
