Hi Jai! If you are concentrating the discussion on our hobbies as our first love, then the answer would be different and if you are talking about a person then it will be a different ball game. I think if you were in love with a person and s/he is no more in your life, you would gradually forget him/her one day. Memories also fade with the passage of time, when we get busy in other business. I feel that if we love any of our hobbies and we enjoy doing it, we could never forget or forgo the same. Supposedly, if I love 'reading', I would love to read anything, anywhere and anytime, provided I have nothing else to do and some reading material is available. It sounds good to hear that you love 'art' and your creative skills and you continue to enjoy the same. No, I don't have a date on this Friday. Wish you a happy weekend ahead. dpk

I already forgot about my first love, though I still think about my previous love. well she is my 4th love.... should I post a link of the song Natalie again? LOL cos that song is my theme for her. I do love my current girlfriend but I hate the fact she is bullying other girls in the office because she suddenly turned into the queen bee cheerleader of a mean girls club. My first love is just a puppy love, you know I was 13 years old and innocent when we met. Its a shame that it took me 2 hours to remember her name.

Anyways, yeah, it's easy to let go of a person you loved most when you know you have developed feelings for another person who is worth of your love, isn't it? The happiness you both shared,the laughters and tears with that person you first loved can just be memories worth keeping and that your relationship with them is a thing that helped you move on and make decisions to live separately with them. Like they say, if there is pain, there is still love. But if you are not aching anymore,you don't love them anymore. But I guess there's still care if you ever see them again.Just like that. Haha,I thought ART is the name of your first love my dear jai,lol! Well,as to my experience,it does die,honestly! Now I believe in the saying that it takes another man to forget the other man. But of course it still depends in your new relationship,how it works. With mine,I know you know that I'm happy with the kind of love and life that my hubby is giving me and I'm so thankful for it! Well, I don't have such relations. I believe that friendship is more deep and best than love relations. Friends helps us to go deep which gives us good memories. Where as love is just an act, like the one which actors does.

Well, there is a misconception on this cliche. First love doesn't only refer to your very first boyfriend. I'm sure 98% of first time relationships are out of infatuation and not love. Perhaps, one doesn't even fall truly in love until they meet the one they say "I do" to. In my case, Id say my first love is my fifth boyfriend, who now is my husband. And, i can say, yes, it will never die. I only loved one person this way and I dont think I'll ever feel the same way for another man.

hi jai, i had an intense love affair with a girl when i was in my early twenties over 40 years ago. It was my first and last love and lasted for 2 years.Till then i never looked a girl in the face because i was shy but she bowled me over, as a matter of fact she seduced me. After we broke up her family got her married and all my love and interest sank like the Titanic,without a trace.Since then no girl has ever had the impact she had and thankful to God that i never lost my heart to anyother girl after her and i have no regrets either.Hugs.
