Who's your closest parent and why ?

Well, when I was small, I was closest to my father. Unlike everybody else, I always stopped crying and laughed whenever my father picked me up. My father always spoiled me and made me happy.However, as I grow up, I'm closer to my mother, because I get good advices from her time to time . And she doesn't scold or beat me, she always talks to me in a patient and gentle kind of way to help me understand what I did wrong and etc. She loses her temper once in a while, but she's a very understanding mother.I can't say who I'm closer to the most. I love them both, and I always have the same amount of conversations of similar topics and when I get angry at my parents, I don't get angry at one and run to the other. My father may be short-tempered and not-so open-minded and quite a person for details and understanding (which I inherited from him. I have to say, my personality is just like his, no wonder I always like to talk back at him) and look scary even if he doesn't smile (although he isn't unhappy) but he's a kind and loving father.However, I would say I'm closer to my mother, all the things about getting advice from my mother. But that doesn't mean I'm not close to my father of course.
