How to make a relationship healthy?

i think communication is the most important. you have to be open and be honest with your partner and that you keep no secrets towards each other. i think in that way, you learn to trust each other knowing that you guys are honest. another is, commitment. this is important because commitment says everything. if you are committed then you are willing to take your time out for your partner, as well as you exert effort for the relationship to work. how about you? what are your insights about this? thanks for sharing!

i am finding that you are right about the open communication it is the most important part of any relationship.. now i find that if i tell my hubby up front when i mess up he takes it better then trying to hide it. as he always finds out.
so i think honesty is a great policy as well.. even when it hurts..
