Democrats act with their brains. Republicans act with their guts and hormones...not much thinking. Democrats think about human beings. Republicans think about maps. Democrats think about emotion and psyche. Republicans think about ego. Democrats think about their people. Republicans think about their numbers.

While I am not an expert on the subject I did take American Government 101 a zillion years ago. It was in this course that I learned that there are actually four Democratic/Republican parties, each having two. That is, you have conservative Democrats and you have liberal Democrats as well as conservative Republicans and conservative Democrats. I posted a discussion on whether the US should do away with the two (four) major parties and set up two new ones.....Conservatives and Liberals...however, I don't believe anyone responded so I guess my idea is materia non grata. Oh well. What I think I am trying to say that basically there isn't that much difference between the two parties when push comes to shove.
