Thanks to our wonderful supreme court the police now have the right to strip search you no matter how small the infraction. Speeding, spitting on the sidewalk or running a stop sign now gives the police the right to strip search you. This is not the country I grew up in and its not the one that we veterans have risked or given our lives for. Do we really want our children growing up in this kind of country? WTH is wrong with these Judges? Don't they have any common sense? http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2012/04/nj_man_in_strip_search_case_br.html http://www.stjamesnews.com/news/x1157749281/Attorneys-and-Sheriff-discuss-Supreme-Court-s-Decision-about-strip-searches

I wonder at what point will the American people realize that this is the activist court the country has ever seen, and call for their removal. I don't think legally it would be possible, and I would hate to see the country go back to the old days of removing Kings and Queens!!!

I dunno, kings and queens were often removed from power by beheading... although generally after a lengthy civil war. No, you're right; that's not a good thing.

Evan, I agree there needs to be a change. Shard, I would NEVER say that we should do that to any government official. But, I hear that was very effective in sending a lesson to others that would hold that office.

As Florence said; this is completely political and has NOTHING to do with what is legal. Any power they can grant their allies in frightening the populace they will grant. They think that if they do enough to hurt a few people, all the others will fall in line. Sounds an awful lot like terrorism, doesn't it?

Terrorism; the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, especially for political purposes.

*nods* As described by Robespierre... although he thought it was a good thing didn't he. Guess he would, being the one in power and using it to terrorise at the time.

On my opinion, the never ending search for control was applied in this issue. The Supreme Court probably saw the need for this type of procedure. I really am not in favor of it, but since the law is changed; then I will obey. Thank you for sharing, moreover, thank you for serving the country Sir.
