Why do so many ptc sites that have been doing good

For so many years I find these good paid to click sites I join them and are with them a while almost getting to the cashout button only to find out that the sites are closing and that they need to find a new owner to take over for them and they say that they have and come to find out the new owners dont even pay and then they end up closing their sites down and it becomes shameful. I dont know why they say they found a good trusted owner when they know he is not to be trusted.Maybe they just say this knowing he is not to be trusted to make us stay with their site or maybe he turns out to be a scammer either way they and us seem to put our trust in the wrong hands.
