Last year, me and my husband found a very tiny kitten on the side walk crying and looked very scared. When we came back from the store, the kitten was still there and we decided to keep it and fed her. And now, she is gone for almost four weeks now. :-( we miss her so much and we are hoping that she will come back soon!

i received my dog as a gift from my parents and one of my cats was born in my house because i own her mother.
my other 3 cats are all from the street.i found them when they were little and i took them in my house to find them owners, but we couldn't let them go after.
the male cat actually got himself into our house.i was giving food to him and he started to sleep at my door.i said that i have already to many animals-i live in an apartement - and that i will not take him to.but he really knows to make himself loved so he finnaly got what he wanted and now he is sleeping in my lap.
in the future i would never give money to buy a pet.there are so many lovely animals on the streets that need help and a home.

all three of my cats are rescue cats. My boyfriend rescued his cat and I rescued our second cat from Hatteras Island. There are a lot of feral cats and kittens on the island and we rescued our two from the island and gave them a great home. Then while in Petsmart I seen a beautiful gray and black striped kitten who was 6 months old and a stray. all three of our cats get along and look the same hehe. I love rescuing the cats but I also know for now I need to stop at three our apartment isn't big enough for more :).

Yes I sure do! I have several cats and dogs that were rescued from one situation or another. Actually, a number of my cats were strays till they found me or someone dropped them off at my house. I've taken them all in and had them all vetted and fixed so there won't be any furry baby friends born here. The total pets I have are 4 dogs and 12 cats and I wouldn't change a thing! We've even fixed a few neighbors pets as well to help keep the population down because so many of them are being 'thrown' away like garbage and killed which in my eyes is so wrong because once they're born, why not let them live out their lives? Fix them and no more will be born and let them live out their lives just as they're supposed to do.

The dog that I have isn't a rescue as I purchased her at a pet store when she was 4 months old, and now she is 4 years old. I am hoping to get a rescue before to long so that she as a playmate, as my Bishon just passed away during the night on Sunday, and I miss her terribly. I haven't really decided what kind of dog to get yet, but I definitely want another small dog, as those are the kind of dogs I like, the ones that don't get very big, like about 15 lbs or so or even smaller. We do have the humane society here in my area, and I am thinking of getting one there, possibly tomorrow or Friday. It might help ease the hurt in my heart for the one I lost. Take care, and happy mylotting.

I know you posted a little while ago. Did you end up going to your humane society and did you adopt a dog? If you haven't gotten the chance yet a good way to get an idea of what animals are in rescues you can go to www.petfinder.com or www.petango.com .. they list the local rescues and what animals they currently have.

Yes, I finally did get a rescue dog and she is cute and she fits in nicely with me and my pomeranian. She is a shh tzu mix, small, and very loving. When I saw her at the kennel, I fell in love with her and just had to have her, and I am so glad I decided to rescue her. She loves having a forever home and owner to take her for walks which which rea really loves too, and I enjoy waling her as well. I feel that rescue dogs deserve a home as a person never knows where the dog came from and if it was taken care of. Now, she doesn't have to worry about that, and neither do I. I lover her to pieces as well as my other dog. They both bring me lots of enjoyment. Take care, and have a good day.

i've rescued many horses, some cattle, loads 'f pups 'n cats. the equines 've always been my fav 'n it still remains that way. most 've the pups 'n cats were dumped out here in the country. i rehabbed 'em, got 'em vet care 'n trained 'em 'n most went to good homes. others remained out their days here. same with the horses, 'cept they t'weren't dumped - jest either starved 'r otherwise abused.
