I have been working in an online job for 3 months now. It's very nice for me since I can work in the comforts of my home. But soon, I will start studying again. The course is for 2-3 months, and I am thinking on what I should do, whether or not I will quit work or just try juggling my time between work and studying. I always think that I should do my best in studying and working, but I am quite doubtful if I will be able to do that if i do both at the same time.
I am a teacher at night, and soon to be a student during the daytime.
Is there anybody here who had experienced working and studying at the same time? I'd like to know your thoughts about this matter. How did you balance work and studying? thanks?

I was a student going to the University and it was very difficult for me to balance both job and school. I never had time to study because i was working and when i wasn't working, I'll be in class. It got really bad that I had to take 2-3 classes each semester just so I can pass my classes while working. My best advice is continue doing your online job because you'll have some income coming in. You can do your job at your own time and pace. You don't have to worry about dealing with bosses or someone covering your shifts. Keep up the good work.

I used to spend 5 years for studying and working together. Lucky for me i didn't spend whole daytime for studying. I had to complete course works, then just went to classes 3-4 hours a day only, and remain times in a day for working.
it was hard for me because i still had to complete my works, as well as complete home works, exams from the studying. But I could do well both. I didn't receive too much works as working full time, instead of it, i just received a half only. In the exam period, whole time is for exams, and i did my work on Saturday and Sunday and the time after the exam period.
During that time, i didn't earn much money, just enough for my living and my study also. But it was ok because i could support myself for studying.
Working and studying together but you should know study is more important. so that you should invest your time to complete well your study. Don't put earning money on the top. You have many chance to earn money later when you complete your study, right?
I hope you do well both studying and working.

Yes, i did. it is not a joke at all. Don't think of give up anyone of it. If you leave your work, you wont have money for current living. if you give up your study, you will lost many chances later if you don't have a good degree. You already spend your time, your energy for both things, then if you give up one, it means that you lost your time, your energy for it already.
It will be really hard sometime, but keep being strong, you should think of the day you finish your study. With online job, you can spend on it for a while before sleeping or in the early morning. However don't stay up late, you should sleep enough time for a day to keep healthy
Best wish for you.

Hi, Ryanong!Waow! you're amazing. 5 years is not a joke. Did you get to the point of wanting to give up? I really I hope I can do well both in studying and working. Thanks for the advise of not putting work on top of my priorities. I will surely remember that! I'm still hoping that I will not come to the point of quitting my online job.

I had to work during the last years of university, and it wasn't easy. I had to work full time, so I either skipped some of my classes or did overtime at work... Never had enough time and energy to study, although I tried to do my best everywhere.
If you can keep you online job, that sounds great, unless you have classes at the time you have to work. If you can choose to work less or more some days, depending on how much you need to study, or you can do it as a part time job, then I guess you will find the balance.

I guess it maybe different (and possibly better) working online, in my experience of working while studying I was able to choose my hours so if I was struggling to get work done or hasd alot to do I could choose less hours for that work. Seeing your teaching im not sure you can do that so you just have to plan and estimate if you would have enough time I guess and decided do you want to be doing all this and not have too much free time
They would be the questions I'd ask myself

Hello, insquared.I'm from china, and i'm a student in the University also.In my opinion,to study is in order to get a better job.We are study every day, don't we?But i think it is important to study. If you have a enough time, you can do both at the same time.If not,you can do it as a part time job.But the study is the first. My english is not good.I hope you that you can understand it.That is all.

Hi, Wangjimima! I understand what you're saying. I really hope that I can find balance between work and study. It's difficult, but I will try. I decided that if work affects my health and performance, I will shorten my working hours. Thanks:)

I quite undertand your situation.Yeah, it is quite difficult to release yourself between work and study. But you have graduated from university, and society is a big classroom where you must try to learn from:social experience, interpersonal rtelationship, competition, and so on.So my suggestion is that you could banlance your time and properly make an arrangement on when you working online. Most of important, you should cherish the time and seize every seconds to finish the work efficiently because efficiency is very important. And then you have take several hours aside so as to take a rest and make preparation for evening class.GOod luck

I knew someone who had a part time job - he was working so he can afford school, but after a few months he was always absent and even dropped one subject..it was such a waste because he was smart and could have easily passed the subjects if hes there. But since your job is online, I think you can manage..

yes i m also have that kind of experience. during my college days i was worked as a cashier and manager in a bakery. but it is quite difficult to do the job and studies at the same time. On the other hand you will gain lot of outside knowledge and experience other than studies. In my life there i learnt how to candle the customers, how to manage the labors working under me, and how to handle the cash etc. so learning and earning is the nice thing. everything will give you some knowledge. Only thing you have to be confident that you can do two things perfectly at the same time. so all the best friend
