be able to find them homes.I mean this persons cat had kittens again and they could not find home for the other kittens from their other cat.So this person now have 16 week old kittens, as well as other kittens that are 5 weeks old to home.I think that they thought that they would be able to sell the kittens from their cats to make money at £15 and £20 each. They use to say they were selling the kittens, so that they could afford to have the mother cat spayed. The thing is, there are places that will give you a voucher to get your cats done, so you do not have to find all the money yourself.

The answer is that they don't care and they are ignorant. They are probably the same people Kathy Griffin talks about that are pregnant and don't even know it. They just don't get it! I find it so sad to see the cats shown on Facebook that are going to be uthenized. I really don't think the people you speak of care.

Some people just shouldn't have animals just like some people shouldn't have children.

I think that you are right that these people just do not care.I feel that these people are the kinds of people that do not mind their cats constantly giving birth.I know that there are charities that will pay the cost to get pets done, so that they do not keep breeding.I think these are also the people that tend to ignore that when their pets are ill, that they need to go to the vets and instead they let them suffer.

Both of my daughters have cats, but they both let them have one litter of kitten and then spayed them. They gave away the kitten but it´s not so easy here to sell or even give away either cats or dogs. One of my daughters has a collie and when Silka had her pups, she almost had to give them (the money she received did not pay for the vet, the vaccines and the food. I don´t think that people who have lots of animals are capable of loving or caring for them either.

My friend has taken in a few cats over the years, as well as a few dogs, a rabbit and I think a hamster, lol, but I will say they are all looked after as well as loved. Some people do have pets for wrong reasons, also over breed them.I just feel that it is such a shame, as there are so many dogs as well as cats that need homes, that have either been dumped, or just left to fend for them self.I think some people think that they can profit from things and pets is one of them, how wrong can people be.I think that letting a cat have a litter of kittens is right, as I think that is best for the cat, but not to let a cat keep having kittens.

Sometimes, when I see people spend a lot of money in many pets, I can but think that there are children hungry and unattended in the world. Shouldn´t we start caring for our own species first? I think a pet ( or even ywo, if you have the means) are ok, but I can think of thousand of places where the amount of money you spend on a pet could feed and even save a child.

A Friend at work lives on a Farm, and after my last cat passed away,She and other Cat people offered me kittens from their expecting cats..
After near a Year had gone by,I was being offered another kitten, and the decision was taken out of my hands when she arrived on my doorstep with this b/w kitten ..
the Kitten's now a 6 month old small cat, finding new things to climb every day..
And I'm hearing the Kitten's Mama is expecting again..
These people I got mine from aren't selling kittens..they're giving them away for people to adopt them! Spaying a cat is not an expensive procedure..If you can sell a kitten for £20,You're well in profit following a trip to the vet if the cat had several kittens..and some animal charities will cover the cost of spaying..

That is sort of like why do some people have so many kids! But seriously, either they just do not plan ahead well, or they really love baby cats, or maybe they have some moral objection to getting the cat spayed. Here in the US we had a beautiful postage stamp issued some years back that urged people to spay/neuter their cats and dogs. I loved the cat one and bought a lot of the stamps.

almost all cat lovers already have cats and with such a huge amount of cats to adopt from the streets no wonder it is hard to find owners for kittens.
i am always telling to the cat owners ,and dog owners which come to our clinic to neuter the females so that they won't have babies anymore.
they say that it is against the laws of nature and after the kittens grow,or the puppies, because they don't find owners ,they just dump them on the streets.
it is sad but some people are not educated yet in this pet responsability problem.

they say that it is against the nature and God to spay the animals.
i just wonder:dumping them on the street, leting them face hunger and cold weather is not worse?

maybe because some things in life are inevitable. I mean its what they're made for.. To go out and multiply I guess. and some things in life really cant be bought...

Siahfearce, there is a glut on the market for pets and any responsible pet owner would spay and neuter their pets. Not only because of the over population but because the pet is healthier for it.

Unless they are purebreed cats such as himalyan or siamese they are not going to sell. There are so many kittens out there given for free that no one is going to want to pay someone for a run of the mill kitten when they can get one somewhere else for free. To me it really bothers me when I see people having litters of kittens all the time. I fixed my cats as soon as they were old enough so that this wouldnt happen.

I never understood that either. I have all of my fur babies sterilized and I have never had to deal with giving kittens away. I did when I was younger but the cats who delivered in our garage where not our cats. They lived on the street and several different families fed them regularly. Well one day three of the female decided to make my father's garage a nursery. We had 18 little fuzzies taking over the entire place. We did find them all homes amazingly. It was heart breaking to give the little fur balls away though and I know of one of my girls had gotten preggers we would end up the crazy cat people becasue I would want to keep them all

Welcome to the crusade, joystick. I am passionate about spaying and neutering pets...especially cats and dogs. I have rescued more cats than you can shake a stick at and have paid for more spaying and neutering than most folks. Spaying and neutering extends the animal's life, makes the animal healthier and happier and tamer. They are less apt to roam. Coming into "season" for females is painful to say the least. Unwanted offspring end up prey to starvation, disease, the elements and any number of other horrible torturous ailments. Anyone who truly loves their pet would spay/neuter them. It is just plain irresponsible.
