The temple is your body and it clearly states to go into a closet to pray if you read the bible. I do not think you have to attend church to beleive in GOD or whoever you pray to. I do not attend church since everyone seems to be worried about what you are wearing instead of listening to the sermon. Good Topic thanks

I tried going to church but I then find myself conforming, and then feel phony.. maybe I'm somewhat socially dysfunctional.. or have a problem with authority figures, due to a very strange upbringing.. Anyway, I'm more monastic than social. Have had some very good experiences with God, and feel i've learned a lot by contemplation (in him) - God bless!

No I don't. As Jesus says "Church is wherever my followers exist and remember my name". If we are true believers, then we can make even our own home a church.

No, I don't believe you have to go to church. I adopted the Native American faith so far back I can't remember. Whenever I step outdoors I am in MY church...the real church that was created by the higher power..not a manmade church with 4 walls where all you see inside are things that man created. Native Americans pray alone..for one main reason..you never really know what is in someone elses heart..they can say they are praying with you, but do you really know? That's why the NA prays alone...to be sure that God, the Great Spirit, (doesn't matter what you call him)is hearing the true heartfelt prayer. Churches were created by man..when I step outside I am totally enveloped in the world God made..to hear the birds, see the animals, feel the grass, see the trees, the clouds, ...everyone has their own beliefs and feelings about gathering in a church, and there is nothing wrong with whatever you believe, as long as you believe for the right reasons.

No I belive you can still belive in god and not go to church anymore I think they have turned church into a big social gathering...

I totally agree with you. I dont go to a church because Iam of a religin that there is not a church arround. I am a Pagan and there is not a Pagan church arround for me to go to. I believe it is more important that you DO believe in worship in your own way then the someone else wants to worship.

i don't think it is necessary to go to Church every sundays... the Bible doesn't say anything as a requirement but only tells us to have time on the sabbath day to keep it holy.. having time to read the Bible or talk to God, thru meditation asking for forgiveness and blessings for the next day or so. God only wants a few of our time each day to be spent on him so as to remember that he indeed created us and have forgiven us for all our sins in this sinful world.
