Birthday or Resurrection - what's the difference?

A Member of Parliament (from the ruling Party!) in my country had the great idea to publish a greeting to the voters of his region in a local newspaper. Tomorrow is the orthodox Easter so he wrote "Happy Jesus BIRTHDAY!" Usually we say "Happy Easter" or "Merry Christmas" and sometimes people say "Happy Resurrection of Jesus" or "Happy Jesus birthday". But apparently this MP (whose name was unknown to me) doesn't know the difference between "birthday" and "resurrection". Or doesn't think when he makes greetings. So is there any thinking going in his head during the Parliament sessions?

And the voters don't care. But this is our money!

Yes, and I follow closely all the events because I work in TV news. But people have to learn how to control the politicians in order to create a good system. Unfortunately, as happens in my country, most of the people just wait for somebody to sort out the problems.

I guess you know what's going on in Greece. The system is very hard and politicians control it.

I'm glad to meet you! We are the same, we are from the Balkans. I've been in Athens a few times, I love this city and I don't like what happens there now. But Parliaments around the world are full of the same idiots, it's time to make a cleaning.
