The Hive Mind; where we came from and where we are heading

But the bigger question is who is going to be in charge! I had a revelation one day as I sat down to get online I was really trying to connect not to the internet but to the pulse of humanity. The internet is the modern hive mind of humanity. I say modern because what came with that revelation is with people's fascination of the internet I also realized it was something we were trying to get back to.
What was the original Hive mind? It was before the great fall and before humanity was tricked by into thinking this life we now have would lead us to be Gods. I think we had the ability to communicate without words to each other and to God. I base this account on different prophets in the bible and how as time went on that connection was lost. In the garden of Eden they were able to communicate with God directly. Even up to and past Moses day certain people could make a direct connection. I think the connections we have now pale in comparison.
This desperate attempt for the government to control the internet is all about them trying to control the new hive mind and bend it to their will. I think that collectively we have the power to shape our reality. The multimedia society we live in was "created" for the purpose of controlling our collective thoughts and keeping us subjugated to their dark purposes. They not only want to control the power of the hive mind but they also fear it.
I think the more effort we put into this life to try and change things to our will the more energy is used in their purpose to strengthen this cage that binds us. Ultimately a free and awakened hive mind will realize that not only are we all connected but that we all must be free from not only this physical word but the internet because we don't need these things to connect to each other. The old way where we connect to the old hive mind is still there but we are blinded by darkness and tricked into the believe the flickers of flames are the true light. Consider if you will Plato's allegory of the cave: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6LUptADIww&feature=related
There are different forms of speech the verbal ones we use today which divides our thoughts and separates humanity but there is an older language that comes with this oneness of the old hive mind. In that language there is truth of knowing each other and there is no lying. In this language we have divide ourselves and hidden our thoughts and intents. I also believe that the verbal language we use today came from pain and suffering after the fall. We suffered torturous pain until those first words were uttered and from them came one language which divided into many. The further the language divided the further humanity divided. All for the sake of separating ourselves and protecting ourselves from pain and suffering.
For all of our technology and scientific achievements I believe we are still looking at the shadows on the wall unable to see the false light that projects them let alone the true light.

We have much to learn and much to unlearn.
Hebrews 8:5 King James Version (KJV) 5Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
Hebrews 10:1 King James Version (KJV) 1For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

Hello, Evan. I say that this is a very profound statement. A very truthful assessment of humanity, and a very real summation of life in general. I have to say as a believer, this "connection" has far greater consequences than anyone can really imagine.
It is interesting to know that those who lived thousands of years before us, were able to receive information about others rather effortlessly. I think that we have become a global society because governments fear that the people will "run away" with governing themselves.
I agree that we do not see the true light. The light that sets us free from that "...pain and suffering..." I will look up that link you posted, and thank you for such a subject as this. Have a great day.

With due respect to Evan's very well thought out statement, it is still only his opinion that we used to have a hive mind, so it's a bit silly for you to be saying, "It is interesting to know that those who lived thousands of years before us, were able to receive information about others rather effortlessly". It is indeed interesting to imagine that this might be so, but let's not get carried away.

Why mince words grandpa-lash. Garden of Eden and Moses talking to god are just stories told by tribal priests and leaders to get their followers to do what they tell them. They are not true. As far as we know we are the first species on his planet capable of the sort of abstract thought that enable us to think up this sort of nonsense and to take it seriously. We have no idea who or what formed the wonderful universe in which we live. Nobody has or has ever had. However we do have evidence that it has been around for 15 billion years and we have been here as a species for a few thousand years in other words in universal time we only arrived a few seconds ago so we are not an important species in the universe.

I agree totally, maidangela, but I'm sick of the flame wars that start if I give my anti-religious beliefs too much free rein.

I know this may have nothing to do with what you are talking about but it reminds me the of the story of Babylon. You know..where the people built the huge temple and God went down and separated them and made them speak in different tongues? Anyway..that was the first thought that came to my mind when I read your discussion.
I do think that even though our communication levels SEEM to have advanced that there is something missing from them that people did once have. I am thankful on one hand that I am able to communicate with people from everywhere that I may have never got to know before..but I do understand too that there is a huge lack of personal connection that has come from technology in our own communities too. I think that the government has notoriously tried to control our every action and I once heard it referred to as the "Iron Cage"...society that is. I think that it fits the situation the best.

Read the reply I made above about the growth of language. How was the human race able to communicate for thousands of years without our technical terms and expanding of the human language? I agree that we are loosing something, maybe our very souls.
