I am finally back and sure to stay with our newly installed internet/dsl connection. If someone has read in my previous post, i sure was really angry or pissed of with PLDT because we have requested for a dsl but come march and april is soon to be over but still we haven't received any updates from the company if they will install dsl or not. we already paid them with the installation fee but its just hopeless with this company!
Im glad a friend of my brother's had been installed with Globe and they live near our place.. im glad they already had a line in our area!! =) whew! i applied in globe last thursday and today... we already had our dsl installed!!! =) such a relief.

we are using globe now too, and it is better.
it used to be smart bro but we kept having problems with them. we pay on time and there was a time that they couldn't even find our name in their computer when we went there to pay hahaha

yeah, we went back 3 times that day because they couldn't find our name. how is that possible then? LOL no wonder there are a lot of people complaining that they have already paid but Smart keeps sending statements of account

It's annoying when companies charge you upfront and then they just don't do anything. I have friends that have paid the installation fre and even paid their first monthly fee without enjoying what they are paying for as the company has not set their Internet connection up....

hi camalich and devan. yeah its annoying and we just want them to update us.. we have lost patience, lost trust in this company already and well i guess they just blew it.. i am soo over them and thank God that the other company is available in our area so we already just called them and now we've got internet.. after being "off the grid" for 2 months!

Good for you! I used to have a PLDT DSL and I liked it. However, I moved out from my old apartment and I am using a connection from my local cable. For me, PLDT is the best connection.

That's good, at least you will not missed my discussion. Where is your area, many of my friends told me Globe is not good in their connection I told them maybe it depends on the area. Here in my town Globe is really bad, smart is quite well. PLDT company is really not good in their service at first but the DSL is much fine. I also have plan to apply for a new connection with them but they told me their are still fixing some problems in my are that will take too long to wait.

We are in QC Manila. we were initially advised by globe that there is no available line in our area, but then after 2 months of waiting for PLDT we finally checked with globe and they already have a line for us. so we opted not to wait for PLDT anymore.
So far the connection is good.. better - so much better than Bayantel. i have friends who are connected with PLDT in some other areas and they have quite a lot of complaints too.. when they raise an issue, it would take them at least a week before a line man comes to their house and check it out. so imagine how long they have to endure a no connection issue...

PLDT's understaffed. Well, that's what I was told by the repairman. I think it's true though since I remember years ago that there were always at least two who service our account. One drives the vehicle and the other does the repairing. Now it's like an all-in-one. The person drives his vehicle and does the repairing also. Where I live, PLDT still is the sole provider so I have no choice but to avail their services. But it took a day only when they installed our DSL. Maybe it's because we already have an existing landline subscription already. I heard though from my relatives that Globe's good. I hope you don't encounter problems with them

Oh, im glad we were given other options through Globe. their service or subscription is much cheaper than PLDT for the same speed... i sure hope that we do not encounter any problems with Globe as we have ran out of options already... you could just imagine how many people i've talked to PLDT just for the ff up of my line installation.. well i have shouted at a couple of them i must admit. and i think i do not like to pay this company for the stress they are going to give me hehe

PLDT is notorious as a internet provider. The bad thing about it though that they are the most prominent one.

a pleasant day chiyosan,
honestly speaking, i am also longing to say the phrase "yey, im back", but on a different situation. not on the situation that you have encountered with your DSL application.
nevertheless, good to hear that your connection now is already stable. thus, you can access to the net so easy since your DSL is now working.
cheers friend.

Well, the important thing that finally you managed to get what they wanted, that is, the DSL line. I can understand that in fact some installation problems, especially with companies providers services, sometimes have a very long time. Not counting that then when they declare: "The line is ready!", We sometimes bump into problems such as: Will it work?
So, since you're back I say: Welcome back the wonderful world of Mylot!

thank you so much alberello. yeah its weird because PLDT was supposed to be the largest telecom in the country but well.. the largest ahole if i would say... because they are supposed to be the one to give us a better connection, and faster service.. we just opted for the 2nd one to give us the connection and in just 4 days.. now we have internet!!! =)

Good for you! But did you get a refund from PLDT for that installation fee? Anyway, yes, a dsl line is your best bet to have good internet connection. Our internet provider is PLDT and we do get frequent problems in our dsl line. Sometimes, it is just hard to connect to the network or the cable lines are already degrading. Maybe I can get some insights from you regarding Globe's service some time after. It will help me if I need to switch provider or not. Thanks!

we got a free wifi router too, and my phone is connected to the wifi and so is my laptop and my brother is connected to the cable.. i hope it gets better over time... hehe

Maybe first you meet the net company is not so effective and good ,but now you come back again on web ,you depend on Globe and now it is good effection ,our town is DSL, and now it has already upgrade to Light broadband ,it is also digital TV,and the tv is also light series ,our place . But my family not join in ,for I may leave my home so the net will stopped ,that business is on contact for 2years.
Yes ,choose a good company is good ,here is China mobile ,China unicom, Chine telecom ,my family is china telecom.
The signal is all good .Of course I never go out to mountain or on sea.

hi jane. thank you for your response.. yes it is good to choose a good company. we have almost tried it all. we only have about 3 dsl providers, the last one was what was our provider that we had to let go because the connection was intermittent...
we applied to PLDT even if there were a lot of complaints on the net about their service, sometimes its just how lucky can you get.. but we were not even installed with anything and yet we were having problems already haha.
