Actually employment is not the problem here, if we really look at the market wherever location you may be, you would really find a job. Sometimes it is also the problem of the person who is looking for a job. They will create standards for themselves that this is the job that I want to work for. But not knowing that those jobs are all occupied and it's hard to be in on that job. Why not start it from the simplest form of job while waiting for your application to be approved on your dream job. It's just a matter of patience and the will to continue and move on. If we will wait forever of that dream job, maybe on a twist of fate you will really not have that, since there is a job you are destined to work. You have to discover that maybe your dream job is not for you after all. Don't be afraid to try on different jobs and you might just find the job that you really wanted. On my own personal experience, I really had a dream job when I was a kid, I really work hard to finish my studies till I got my degree on my dream job, but twist of fate has hit me and unemployment strike from different areas. That's when I tried exploring on other opportunities. Until I landed on my job right now, It was not my dream job after all but it became one of the best! I never thought I would be much happier here. And mind you I tried a lot before I landed on this one, since experience is also a major pre requisite in a job.. Don't be afraid to try jobs outside of your degree, you might just find your dream job!

Many of the people around are educated with all the proper channels. They have the ability and the qualifications for the job but the job humanities are very limited. This is due to the huge increase in the population and due to the lack of investment of the foreign companies. There are several reasons for this. Mainly they hesitate to have their companies here in India because of unwanted hartals and strikes. These simple hartals and strikes cause to huge loss to the company which results in the ending of it. This is the one of the main reason for it.
So we must ban such strikes which are put forward by various political parties and organisation. This will help in the huge setting up of factories and private companies and finally this will result to the employment to the common people.

I am sorry to hear that. Sometimes it is difficult for the graduated students to find a job since they may have a higher expectation. And therefore they don't want to accept a boring job with low salary. Since they are inexperienced, so unless you are very outstanding. Otherwise it is not easy for the big and good company to hire you. The working experience is very important.
I love China

I strongly believe that being unemployed is not the fault of employers or companies or whatever, it lies in the confidence of the applicants. If he/she is really confident and secure of his/her skills and abilities, he/she will soon find employment in a matter of time. That's just my opinion. I'm glad now that your boyfriend is making an effort.

Allow me to challenge the common way of thinking of people in the present generation... Not to be rude or anything but merely something to ponder upon..."Does a person really needs employment upon graduation in order to make a living?"

I graduated March of last year and up to now, I still don't have a job. Maybe because this is the pacing of my profession: I had a 5-6 months of review, I waited for the results, and fortunately I passed. But I'm only up to there, as of now. While waiting for the results, I passed my resume to "sideline" jobs-jobs that are not in my line of profession. Unfortunately, I wasn't called back. That's when I realized that life and employment is hard. I'm not bragging here, but it is hard for me to look for a job and I'm a college graduate from an exclusive university, what more for the ones who weren't given the chance to have an education. Its really a sad reality, but life keeps going on, all we gotta do is...adjust.

Yes, I am aware of that, many of the graduates, like me, are having a hard time finding jobs. I just remember last episode of "Failon Ngayon" yesterday. It tackles about unemployment, finding job for graduates, and finding the right course in college for high school grads. I kinda relate to that because as of now I'm a fresh grad student and as of now I'm still unemployed. Maybe if the government offers more job and open more industry it can reduce the unemployment rate and increase employment rate.

You can say that again.. That worries me too.. Most graduates go to call centers because the salary is higher; even licensed nurses work in call centers.

Many factors contribute to this. To name some, we have the population growth - having a too numerous generation makes the competition tougher. Another is the deterioration of competence of the output - sometimes of the schools and sometimes of the students themselves. Getting out of college without having the proper training and development can really hurt one's job hunt.
I can say that the best way to secure a job is through your internship. Applying as an intern can get you in more easily than applying for a real job. Choose carefully while looking for a company to render your services to. And once your hired, that's where you should do all you can to learn, develop and, in the process, win the recognition of your superiors and co-workers. Even if you don't get hired after your internship, the experience and the reputation you'll build up can give you a solid foundation in pursuing your career.
BTW, this is how I got my current job. I am so blessed to have one immediately after my graduation, thanks and glory be all to God.

I know... I'm kind of scared what I'm gonna do after I graduate (I still have about 2 years left), because 1) I have a BA in English (OK, in Hungary, but still not the most sought after degrees), 2) I'm not the really assertive, confident type who aces every job interview. That's why I'm learning French now (I peak English and German) and I'm planning on doing like a shorter, more practical course (not university/college level, but still it could be taken into consideration in my CV), like a PR assistant or marketing...
