Do You Use Facebook To Build Your Business?

I know many of us here might be doing things online, including myLot where we are earning some extra money from. Maybe we also have our Own Business both online, and offline like me, or use Ebay, Etsy, etc. to earn some extra money and might even be doing really well with it. Or maybe you are like me, and doing an Online Business or two and looking for more ways to build it, and grow your income. I wonder how many of us really take advantage of posting in Facebook, and many of the various groups there are as well? I know myself personally since I am doing 2 online Business things that I also do offline I am always posting stuff on Facebook in groups, on my wall, etc. Does it help? It does get me noticed, and helping to build my business somewhat. Yes, for me this is some of the Better reasons to be a member of Facebook or Twitter and could be the start in time of creating something Big. ~~TINA~~

Currently i don't use facebook to do business. I just keep contacts with friends on facebook only. However the use of facebook to build business is not bad idea, we can promote our business as long as get customers more via internet...

Well, I have found Facebook a Great way to connect with others, and find people who might be looking for something to do from home, and earn a little extra money. The biggest thing is what a person is looking for that might work best for them no matter where they are at is out there, and unless you promote what you are doing somehow no one will never really know.

Well, I am not sure if I got more than 1 referal on here due to someone from Facebook, and they are not active here. Most of my referals though on here are people I know in person, or people who used to be in another Business I was doing but very little activity from anyone else anymore.

I do online selling in Facebook for more than two years now and so far my business is doing good in Facebook. I use to have a website for my business but it didn't work out good, so that's why I focus and continue doing my business in Facebook.

Yes, that's true. I only started showing my stuff to my friends offline and decided to post it on my Facebook since I only have few numbers of friends. And I was surprise that many people were adding me as their friends when they saw my products, and now I have almost 4k friends in FB and some of my regular customers that I met on Facebook, became my good friends because they trust me. I do have many customers abroad too. I am just happy that these people trusted me. :-)

Not yet but thank you for the reminder. I've though about opening an account on Facebook for my business. I suppose I've been a little concerned about some of the problems that have occured on the site. Of course, the problems are probably because of member being careless. Is that what you believe too? Anyway, thanks again for the post and I'll surely look into opening an account soon.

Well, Facebook like any other site you can have issues, especially when you are asking people to be Friends who are not interested and Spam them, as well as people who just will try to SCAM you anyway if you let them. For me I am careful what I post on Facebook but feel using it to share my Business could never hurt for sure.

I haven't used facebook for marketing, but I would. I think that it has great potential for marketing. You can reach a huge range of an age based market and it also has the ability to allow customers to give you feedback to help out with personal relations.

I do have an online business, but I must admit I still have to make use of Facebook's full potential as far as my business goes. I've created an account, and I do have a link in my website so that facebook 'friends' could 'like' our page. But, I still have to really do marketing on the people that I have on facebook so I could maximize sales.

Well I have over 2000 friends on Facebook. Some of them are people I personally know, some are business acquaintances while others might be just people I came to know from other things as well. I have been able to get one good business relationship with one of the people and made some good friends so for me, it's been worth it.

Hi Krause I use it all the time to promote my business and this week alone have had four enquiries on my website through Facebook and have found it very good, I also have friends that will share my posts too so they are seen by even more people not just the ones on my friends list. I also have joined a lot of selling pages on there and promote on those too. huggles. Ellie :D

Well for me, I guess it would be what matters to someone as to whether they want to take the time to grow a Business besides just themselves. I know I have met many wonderful people and even grew my Business a little by being online. So for me it has been worth it.

Well, I have been thinking of making up business online. I just started with photography and posted it on sulit.com. I also found out I can use facebook and twitter for it. I think that it is a good idea for the business to be easily known in different part of the world. The more people know it, the more the chances for it to have better sales.

Yes, that is the nice thing about Facebook and Twitter as you can use them in a lot of different ways, and finding more ways to gain more customers is a Good thing for sure. Many times you might even find people interested you would have never met anywhere else, and sparking any interest anywhere is Good for sure.

Facebook is a very good site to promote businesses because many people or almost everyone is connected to this networking site and it's free. Some large companies even make facebook pages to promote there products and to gain customers. Almost all businessmen tries to connect with facebook and I think our small business needs it too.

Hi there Kraus. I used to use facebook when I was doing some things online besides mylot and inboxdollars. I got a referral for one of my article writing sites from doing postings on facebook but I haven't done real well at promoting myself online. I hope you get some help from your responses here. Good luck Tina.

When I was doing direct sales, I did use my facebook account to let people know about sales that were going on. However, since I'm not doing that anymore, I don't use facebook for business purposes nearly as much as I used to. I mean I will still post links to articles that I've written in hopes of getting some extra views, but other than that, there is really nothing that I can do with facebook that is going to increase my earnings.

Well, I know it always harder to try and get someone interested in whatever you are doing unless they are a Close friend, or someone you have gotten to know a little bit who is continuing to follow your posts and can trust you. Posting links to your Writing or even here might work, but it is hard to increase your earnings there usually just from this.

For me, i am not much to promote links and stuff. But from my experience of seeing how people do in this area, facebook is really good in starting to promote and maybe start your own business, it's just like ebay where you can sell stuff because you can get more attention from users from all around the world from that. But that's it, for sites like facebook and twitter, it is only to get the attention you needed to start and help your business to grow. But to actually maintain and grow into your own company, you should have set up your own website. Facebook, twitter and even ebay is just that site for you to get people attention and start looking at your website. Because if you keep your business just at there, it won't grow a lot more bigger since people just know you on facebook and stuff.

I suppose it might help, but I don't like the loss of privacy being on FB leads to, so I'm not on there. I realize that one can restrict access to one's "page", but then, that defeats the purpose of mentioning any business ventures there.

i can understand the reasoning and thinking on this one. I know that anyone can check and see what a person has wrote even if it has been deleted I think. Personally anymore that is why I am leary on posting very much personal stuff unless it is in a private chat.

Facebook really a social network that can attract our friends to our business, I have also some product selling in my other Facebook account. I sell bags, clothes, and shoes it's good and easy, only still you have to do the marketing strategy.

Yes, it is true that even on Facebook it is all up to you and your Marketing strategy if Facebook is the Best thing for you. Many times I hear people say that if you are to be successful at something you need to learn how to sell yourself. Because if you keep quiet how will people know you are out there?

I have a business writing articles, and more views I get on those articles, the more money I make during the course of that month. Whenever I write a new article, I will always post the link on my social networking websites, and I can guarantee that it will get me a couple of hundred views from my friends and then from the people who they choose to share it with. I earn around $100 per month because of the things that I get from social networking websites, and this is something that I think is amazing about the internet.
