Wow, what could that be? Last night I went through all night moving, trying to get a comfortable position but really wasn't sleep at all, today wasn't sleep the whole day either and when I was he woke me up by accident, it's 8 of the night and I just took a 10 minute nap finally at 8 am. Have you ever been able to not sleep at all? I went through a discussion helping a MyLotter about insomnia, I have a little but never this much, and I told him to read and it always work to me like I feel I don't have insomnia anymore, well not today!

Hi katie: I think you should take care of yourself because this is just not healthy. Maybe you are working too much these days or maybe you have eaten something that is not good for you or there's the possibility that you are sick. Try to work with these home made recipes and if nothing work, go to the doctor. ALVARO

Dear Alvaro, gracias, thank you so much. Yes, it's probably (now a day later, well slept) that I overslept a little. Hubby was home and all so I didn't have to make anything, he was even the one who made dinner so it was vacation to me so...I took an afternoon nap! Then okay but the next day 10 pm came, then 1 am, then 4 am and I was like 'What the heck?' I begin to be worried at 5, then 6 and at 10 tried to sleep and nothing. Before I could know better it was 10 pm again and I asked for you guys for help. I think I asked for help and then in 2 hours I was sleeping. Is MyLot saving my life? Mystery... Thanks a lot. Please don't worry, I don't need to go to a doctor, it was just one day, well little more than that. Thanks a lot again.

Lost in thoughts, eh? LOL! That was really bad.But i've had experiences too, not just a day being continuously awake-but two days - two days-which means 48 hours. Now i don't have insomnia and i wish to confess that or whatever you'd say there.Well,it was purposefully so.Yes,purposefully.I had all my niece and cousins filling the house and i never wanted them to sleep and i myself didn't wanna sleep either. It was one such occasion where we really got time to GOSSIP about things-why, only ladies and old woman gossip? No no! We too would.. We'd lots of fun that day upstairs in the terrace-our's is a beautiful house-atleast the beautiful terrace that we had-was ever beautiful those days :) WE played and played and played-it was four years back-when i was 16-sweet 16 :)Treasure hunt was what we play most of the time-we would have small rewards too.Small ones that always encouraged us :) And gossips about aunt's and uncles and don't wonder what had kids got to do with family matters! It was all about their fat stomachs-we never discuss family issues when given time to enjoy and tease! Those were 2 days we really enjoyed so and the most enjoyed days of my life were that -with my cousins-everlasting memories :)True one :) when our mom's scolded we always thought about their fat stomachs and nothing else and we even giggled when they yelled and that made them even more furious. I also have the habit of being awake when someone's going to be married the next day and i stay somewhere new as well. That takes a whole lot time to get accustomed to that place.Sure! I even lose sleep in my house when i had the problem of urine contingency two years back.Yes,i had it and hope you knew what it is!Then the days before festivals-also i don't easily sleep. To make it short-Shocks and surprises dont make me sleep :)Even when i have something very deep to be thought of,i dont sleep..There are cases and i never worried about it! Make your day go good! KAtie :)

wow two days! I know the feeling, unfortunately that also happened to me. You feel like a zombie or that you are dying. Oh but in your case to gossip? So you were excited. I get excited in girls talk, we can even be talking for 3 days if it's just us girls. Oh she didn't sleep either I get the feeling. That's a great thing you created new good memories, I just have insomnia, ahahaha. This is so funny why would you be awake when someone is going to get married when they were supposed to be nervous? She was different from you but my cousin used to call me when we were kids and were going to the beach next day, she drove me crazy: it was 9 pm and she was counting how many hours until it was 5 and we would leave home. She would call me 10 and 11 and don't ask me how a child can be awake at 11, I'm only one year older and I was almost sleeping. She was the most anxious person I ever knew, you remind me of her being awake at night, not able to sleep because of excitement, lol. So cute. Oh this urine problem is so hurtful, I thought I never would have that. It's just you can't walk when it gets bad. You described such fun times, it was enjoyable thank you. Any tip so I can sleep? Turn MyLot off maybe, lol, that's what I should do! But I had to come and talk to MyLotters, most are nice people that help, that are always here to talk

So how I slept yesterday? Exhaustion. Out of nowhere finally after more than 24 hours awake my eyes begin to close, I closed the laptop at once (as always I was reading to sleep) and boom, wake up today. Thank God! Oh the urine thing, yes I thought about God that day cause I never thought it could be painful. And what do you have to do to heal? Pee! And pee hurts!

Yeah wow-2 days- to gossip-was exciting. You're right!Well we stay in that Mahal wherever the marriage takes place-it's not the register office definitely- new place-as i told-i won't get sleep HAHA!And there too, we would have people to talk about everyone hehe! So good days they are!Your cousin-- and I might be good friends then.Ia lways prfer having friends of my type. And all my friends-atleast closest of all of them would be awake :) I wonder how it would be if i myLot in the night?Well,I guess i would try it within a fw days too :)Yes,Urine contingency :( (SOBBING) (LOL) God saved me from it a couple of years back! And talk and talk and talk is what mylotting is all about i atleast do that here..All being blah blah's ever :) and about, oh..Tips? Ah well you could try working hard or having a warm glass of milk or something else warm Helps you sleep! Or try listening to songs-helped me a lot always!

when i get insomnia there is no trick for me. im not sure if some of the episodes are related to bipolar or a mix of meds or what but ive had it since i was a teen. ive tried baths, reading, exercising, meditating, everything and it just seems i gotta just wait it out till i fall over.. i think my record for being up straight was 40 hours straight with out even a nap and i went a month with only getting 2 hours of sleep every night lol..

im not on any sleeping pills. i refuse to take them. i tried a few of them and IF they did work they would stop after a few times and i just dont like the idea of them. the 15 meds daily im on are for my health issues such as asthma, allergies, migraines, bipolar, anxiety, acid reflux, pancreatic enzyme deficiency etc. natural stuff doesnt work on me either. being bipolar i have to watch what NATURAL stuff i take because things like st johns wort people take for depression makes most bipolar people flip out big time and im allergic to anything and everything. thats why i end up just waiting till i fall over when i go through insomnia.. it sucks but i refuse sleeping pills and they dont work anyways and i really dont want another med in the mix of my already mile long list lol

Omg, sorry for that... But dear I know cases of people having sleeping pills and it will only increase as you get addicted, the same amount won't work. And one of them trembles now, like all the time after decades of sleeping pills. I do it and I pass on: I always try natural herbs, teas for things that I'll have forever. Like I love teas that calm me down, just to calm even more, I don't know I feel like after being vegan I really am less angry, (I believe in spiritual energies I don't know if you do and that the anger and fear was in it when I ate, drunk), I have dark chocolate (first because it's vegan and second it says it's really healthy to relax, the types without milk and really good for the mood, but the mood thing I bet you know ), I have teas to become sleepy when hubby is home and I just want to relax and chill and I don't even have to make dinner for example, so it's like afternoon nap time and whatever I can't do at week so I don't have insomnia anymore but from time to time like once in 2 months I take the tea and wow, that's relaxing. Or we both have just to have with snacks for a afternoon meal. You know, pretending we are english, lol. I know it's not my place but I think it's really dangerous what you are taking. I wish you would do more research in holistics and alternative medicine, for example the native americans, and all type of tribal people they can heal with herbs and what they have in nature. Just be careful okay? About the meditation I think it's great you already know how to do it, you could try yoga, but the meditation benefits don't come so fast, it's something doing for life and if you can do it longer, I know that John Assaraf, a person that I consider well succeed and happy does it for 1 to 4 hours. Talking about it I really need to meditate! Take care, really, medicines made by men are so dangerous. I just take painkillers when really I can't take it anymore.

I'm so sorry...d*mn...well I'm just glad you don't take them, they can make one become addicted as I heard...too bad about the natural stuff, they are usually good and safe as we can self medicate...wish we all could be born really healthy, body's problems sucks.

Hello katie try to have a warm bath before sleep or make yourself tired a little before going to sleep. If you like milk that's one of the best remedy to make you fall asleep or watch on your couch tell everyone in the house not to wake you up when you fall asleep instead just turn off the television set when you are already asleep. I hope this will help a little... Have a tight sleep Tina.. Mobhomeir here 041512

I sleep very little, sometimes go days without any sleep. In fact I slept 3 hours yesterday (Saturday) woke up at 8:30pm ater being up since :/ I can't even remember what time I woke up on Friday, but as of this moment I have been awake since 8:30pm April 14, That's gmt. I have tried many things, reading, meditating, music, pills, bathing, just laying here with my eyes closed. My problem is I can't seem to turn my brain off. And Ive always thought that sleep is a waste Of time, i mean just think of all we could get done if we didn't have to sleep. I know that it is a necessity for ones health and well being. I do hope you get a good nights rest soon.

I'm always fatigued, I have fibromialgia. But I don't really get all that tired, no I don't get cranky, when I haven't gotten any sleep I get really silly, and laugh at everything. I don't really become irritable until after 36 or so hours of being awake. No it isn't healthy, but I have insomnia so it really something I can help, even with sleeping pills.

Dear well you do what you think it's best but for my own experience: go natural. Herbs, teas, keep reading about holistic and findind your medicines, the type of you can be over medicated and nothing will happen and could not make you become addicted. I know kind of closely of two cases they took medicine for sleep for years, one of them trembles today and the other is increasing the quantity, the own doctor is doing this. Just worried and upset you feel fatigued indeed. So sorry.

Well,I don't have insomnia, yet you will be surprised to know that I frequently have sleepless nights, changing sides on my bed.The reason,my family problems that seem not to have any solution. As a result,I often fall asleep while watching tv in the evening. As night approaches,I begin feeling that it's most likely going to be yet another sleepless night. So I get mentally prepared.Fortunately I have been a book lover since my childhood and have a home library of my own.So when all others in my family are enjoying a sound sleep,I am reading books that take me to a world where there is no tensions and worries.

Wow I complained and boom how many answers, thanks a lot. But after trying many of the advices, I lay down and I was reading and reading, it took sometime and after more than 24 hs it happened. I couldn't believe when I closed my eyes. I said yay! and tried to not get too excited and loose sleep again. I'm so reliefed. I don't know what happened yesterday.

Oh dear thank you so much for the consern, but I actually am reading like books but these are fics writen by amateurs, and I love it. It's like book and the laptop is set to when I'm sleepy I can only close it and it turn to sleeping mode so I shut the laptop all smiling thinking: "Finally..." and didn't even had a moment for prayer! Yes, I was that exhausted. But you are right, if I'm sleep and I'm doing regular surf, I'll sleep like never

Hello there, I have suffered the insomnia occasionally as well due to my early menopause. Some nights I just wide awake without having any sleepy feel. So I have done a lot of study toward this. My advice is reading a boring book; browsing the internet or do some Yoga to make you feel sleepy physically. If this doesn't help, you need to take some herbal sleeping pill to help you to sleep. Hope this helps.

Ahhh, why couldn't I had time to reach you in time, the yoga! I have stopped for a while, I must go back. It's good for everything. Are you advanced like doing all the hard positions? It's amazing how we relax like we are meditating but actually doing an exercise. Yoga is really amazing indeed dear thank you! I can't read boring but I actually love reading online fics made by amateur writers, they are amazing plus I get to write them to congratulate them and it is so nice. I love romance, although I love it gets me sleepy alright. I only need to get my eyes tired of moving.

Sometimes I feel the clutches of insomnia when I am stressed, other times it's when I am happy. I've not felt it in quite a long time, but it can be a symptom or really side effect of bipolar, which is a mental disorder that I have. I hope you can find some time to sleep and be able to do so peacefully, maybe relaxing music will help you.

A lot of people have insomnia, and this is something that your doctor might be able to help you with if you were to go and see them about it. I find that it helps to get yourself into a regular routine so that your body gets used to it. You should put away everything to do with technology at least an hour before you go to bed, as the waves from the signals can keep your brain active when you really want to be sleeping. Learning relaxation techniques might help as well, as just being relaxed might help you to be able to get to sleep.

It happened to me 2 days ago. I tried to sleep at 10 pm but I can't help myself to fall asleep. I stay awake all night long and the other day came I'd tried to close my eyes but I can't till the night.I just spent my time 24 hrs reading books, surfing the web and here in mylot. This is ridiculous experienced because when I don't have enough sleep in the night its an uneasy feeling for me. I hope it won't happened to me again.

Hope it won't happen to us both, I did EXACTLY what you did, how funny. Yes we think about mylot but did you ask for MyLotters' advise cause they gave me and it helped, what it also helped was to feel comforted, it's so nice when people worry and give tips. I think I was awake for like 30 hours, but my eyes closed out of nowhere. It felt great. I haven't slept for all the hours but it's okay, when I sleep less than I should in 3 or 4 days I'll really need it so I will go to bed early, it always happens.

Just be careful to not be awake for too many days, a man tried to break the guiness or some record and he worked in the radio station, his listeners followed how long he could go awake and he broke it, he stood 6 days awake. But his wife said he wasn't the same. I don't know what happens to the brain but it changed him, he was angry. He ended up loosing his wife and kids, they left.

As sufficient sleep is essential to keep ones mental and physical healthy state normal, you must take it seriously. When I get troubled frequently without proper sleep, I have tried "Yoga" and meditation with controlled diet taking. All these give good impacts to my troubled state.

Yes, taking seriously. When I started the discussion I was actually so worried and even a little afraid. Just because I didn't know why and I was so tired I couldn't think straight. As soon as I wake up this morning I realize the day before I took a nap that was kind of long, that's why. I think it was too much.

Once, when I was 14 years old, we went on a school trip to the sea side and it lasted 4 days.. I did not sleep at all during the whole trip. We were young and were up all night partying every night. We were also drinking a lot of coffe and red bull to stay awake, haha :) But that has nothing to do with insomnia, the point was just to have a good time. And my advice for you to fall asleep easy is to drink something warm before going to bed because warmth relaxes the body ;)
