First individual century in IPL 2012!!!

The RR openner Rahane scored the First individual century in IPL 2012. It was a brilliant innings and he really deserved that century. It was a slow start for RR against RCB. RR managed to score around 60 runs in first 10 overs. But after that rahane and Owais Shah take of the charge over the RCB bowlers and they scored around 135 runs in last 10 overs. Rahane scored 103 runs from just 60 balls with 12 boundaries and 5 sixes with a strike rate of 171.61. It was really a awesome innings and he really deserves a place in Indian team as opener.

he deserved the century even in that first match where he got 98.as a supporter of the royals,i am happy but rahane is a test cricket specialist.
somewhere along the line,when he does get to play for india in tests,he might get tempted to play such shot at test levels and we already got sehwag for that.
happy but hoping it wont intrude in his batting skills

As you said he really deserved the century from the first match itself.
It is really a new information for me that he is a test cricket specialist.
Hope he will keep the beauty of the test cricket and continue such playing in T20.

Ajinkya Rahane played well in this match to score the first IPL century of 2012, it good to see a young Indian player play like this, I think he is a good replacement for Virender Sehwag.
It was the last 7 overs of RR batting made the difference, even Owais Shah made good contribution by 60 which did make huge difference.
I wish this IPL be won by Rajasthan Royals ...

Hi Rock,
Rahane has made India proud.He is the future of Indian batting.He has made the first hundred of IPL-5.Normally foreign batsmen make their centuries first.But this time it is different.I was stunned when he smashed 6 boundaries in 6 balls.He went against Muralitharan for a six.Doesn't that show you he has some interesting talent.He is hungry for a place in the Indian team.He has delivered his potential through that performance.I want him to play for the Indian team in this year's T20 World Cup.Instead of Shewag,Rahane will be a good choice for Opening.

If anyone deserved a century this IPL, it was Ajinkya Rahane! Good knock by this young lad...
After being 66 in 11 overs, Shah and Rahane did an amazing job to propel them to 195. Good win. Will help Net run rate.
