What happened to a new iPod touch generation.

I am really starting to wander weather they will actually release a new iPod touch. If they do what features do you think it will have?

Considering that they released the iPhone with the iPod touch, they're quite likely to continue making generations of the iPod touch. In my opinion, "iPod touch 5" sounds quite a bit too desperate, so I bet they'll give it that "new" title that they gave to the third generation iPad. I think it's a bit too early for them to install the hydrogen cell that they patented earlier this year to the new iPod, so they might add a battery similar to the one in the 4th generation, but a bit stronger. The supposed iPod touch will probably have a bigger screen, more utilities, and stuff supplied on the iPhone 4S. Seeing that the fourth generation is almost like a castrated iPhone, I think the fifth generation will also be similar to the 5th generation iPhone.

I sort of agree with your theory that the iPod will start becoming an iPhone without phone features. It's quite funny, actually, when you think about how iPods played a part in the development of the iPhone - you know, the phone with an iPod attached to it.

The iPod touch 4th gen is almost like an iPhone already. Me and my friend compared them and they can do all the same things except make phone calls same goes for the iPad.
