Okay.. So i'm not the type who's into k-pop but I can't help myself to realize talented groups rather than faces. To name one band? Gotta be Big Bang! 5 years in the music industry is no joke. And you can see each group's growth over the years. Despite their trials last 2011: GD caught on MJ and Daesung on a car accident, they were able to pull it off and utilize their experience on their songs and music videos. Their compositions have matured a lot --and mature means more sensible, creative, symbolism and catchy. They don't need to get naked, show off more skin yet T.O.P on the other hand covered more of his skin..haha! I'm proud of them even more, now that, the world has known them. They deserve much of the standing ovation.
Are you a V.I.P? I would glad to know :)

Yes! Been a V.I.P since 2010 (not that early I know as compared to some people I know - one friend of mine has been a V.I.P since 2006!) but still. I'll like to applaud you on your ability to recognise talented groups rather than faces - it's not something a lot of people can do, especially in a music industry like kpop where looks is almost everything.
Come to think of it, Big Bang really is one remarkable group. They're probably the Kpop group with the most scandals/issues (GD's plagiarism issue and the infamous Breathe stage during his Shine A Light concert in 2009, Daesung's car accidents in 2009 AND 2011, GD's MJ case in 2011) yet every time they manage to pull through triumphant. And still hold on to the Nation Boy Band title (meaning they're the most beloved male group in Korea). You gotta give them props for all that.
Speaking of skin... What you said is true, they don't need to reveal their skin to get more popularity/publicity because they're already plenty talented enough. (deleted some parts for "mature" content)
As always, nice to meet a fellow V.I.P! :)

I forgot to add this. Did you all attend Alive tour? I live in Singapore, so I attended the Singapore stop (only Day 1 though, I'm a poor V.I.P T.T) and it was superb! Can't wait to see our boys again! (I went to Korean Music Wave 2011 Singapore where BB attended too but Daesung didn't go because of his accident scandal. Sigh...)

I am proud to be a V.I.P and I've been so for quite some time now. I find it mindblowingly amazing to see them gaining the global recognition they deserve, this despite the fact that they're singing/rapping majorly in korean. That is some talent to still get the musical message through the language border!
I think all of their hardships, especially as of late, only has made them stronger as a unit. Sometimes we need to face the fear of losing it all to be able to come back full force and grasp it all again.
I will even take a flight in a few days (I live in Sweden) to London just to see them perform at Wembley Arena. I've never even been to London and I've never traveled because of a band/group before. I guess this goes to show how strong the feeling and dedication of fanbases are in the k-pop industry.
It's one big family you get adopted into.

Hiya!
How are you? I have become a VIP this later part of the year because a friend was a die hard crazed T.O.P biased fangirl.hehehe She made me watch their vidoes, MV's, tv appearances, clips of their previous concerts, and would tell me stories of their past and present activities. I couldnt tell them apart back then (they all look the same to me) Then bit by bit I grew fond of Taeyang's smile and innocence. I listen to their songs and I am awed by Kwon Leader
I still dont think I am into K-Pop but I agree with you I am into the songs and the artists themselves. Their Alive Tour is nearing its end but 2012 is a good year for them.^_^
