I talked to my dad today and he told me that he started his treatments for his prostate cancer which is in stage 2. He said that is not too bad because stage 4 is the worst. He has a good chance to beat it. He has to get injections every three months and take pills and watch his colestoral levels. The funny thing is , my mom said that the doctor said some side effects to the needles is that my dad may have hot flashes and breast tenderness which my mom replied "Oh, so he'll turn into a woman" I laughed at that, and said that yeah, we know what that's all about hey, mom, having gone through it , too. ha, ha, I'm happy that they've kept their sense of humour through this trying time in their lives. I will keep in closer touch and see how my dad makes out with the treatments. All my love and prayers, for them.Lol

In terms of stages, it is good that is two. But so you know, stage 4 does not automatically mean that you are a goner! My grandmother has been in stage 4 cancer for the past 10 years :) Keeping a good sense of humor, living everyday to do as much as you can, and having faith that you are going to be okay are the best ways to beat it!

I will pray for your dad during this time. It is good that the cancer was discovered early enough before it started spreading to other parts of the body. Continue taking good care of your dad.

I hope everything turns out fine. I have the experience that keeping a sense of humor in not so good situations helps a lot. Not only it is good for the immune system, but you have a better quality of life.

How old is your dad? Cancer of prostate occurs at old age and sometimes is confused with benign enlargement of the prostate having the same clinical features initially. Has he undergone ant FNAC? What is the level of PAS in blood. It seems that he is undergoing chemotherapy. Is not it?

Stage two sound like a good sign, it means the tumor is located and has not spread. With that good sense of humour you dad has he has good chance to beat it, staying positive helps a lot!
