Today is a great important day not just in baseball because it's Jackie Robinson day, the man who defined color differences in sports (Baseball) its so cool that the MLB shows there respect and every single player where's his 42 today! what a man to have to go all he went through and still have success, i mean great success, what would the sports world look like if Jackie Robinson didn't do this for us.....

There would have been no Willie Horton, no Ron Leflore, no Kirby Puckett, no Barry Bonds. Watching the Tiger game At first I didn't notice it. I noticed gthat one of the Tigers didn't have his name on the back and I wondered why. just the number 42.
About a minute later I noticed every plahyer was wearing number 42 and I thought that was cool. At that point I thought that was something that just Chicago was doing. Then I learned it was every player in baseball and I thought that was even cooler.

Funny you should mention him because this morning, I was thinking about him and remembered I hadn't mentioned him. He was one of the best.

And now, 65 years later, a black man Owns the Dodgers! When Magic was announced as the owner of the Dodgers I was so filled with joy and the first person I thought of was Jackie. Without him None of this would be happening. Jackie broke the barrier . And now his team has Magic as an owner. ( smiling) I love to see all the players, of Every hue, wearing 42.

My mom loved the Dodgers , even though they moved west. I became a fan back in 1985? 1986? I am so happy they are doing so well.

yes its hard to image how things have changed in a relatively short period, now the dodgers are going to go back to there winning ways which is good for all of baseball even though i'm not a dodgers fan they should still be able to compete for division championships year in and year which is always good for baseball with one of the greatest franchises
