I have a friend, my co-teacher in an English academy. She plans to resign from being a teacher because she said that to be a teacher is boring. She said that she's too tired already especially teaching people from a different contry. The culture is very different from ours. In some way I can understand her because she's a nurse and now she's teaching English. One of the managers here is cruel as a fox. She will scold the teacher in front of us, in front of the student. She wll shout and we will all arise, it seems that our souls will about to fly. She's very loud, very strict. She's more mean than our boss. Most of them degrade us. They underestimated our capability. They are selfish. But for me, even though we are experiencing like that, i still love to teachy them because teaching is a very noble job. You're not only imparting your knowledge but you are also molding them as a better person through the good values that you have shown to them. Education is as important as our family. Without education we will not be successful in life. In our cases, we are teaching them English. I only told myself that somehow these students will be better English speaker and I'm part of it. Do you have some experience like this?

Actually, the excitement and dullness of a job depends on the person who is working. While others may find teaching boring, others feel the exact opposite. I guess that some may find it boring because they are not the one really meant for the job. What I mean is that, maybe there is another kind of job that is more suited to them.
As for me, teaching is an exciting job. Every day, teachers are face with new challenge. They are not only to teach subjects but also to teach values and give inspiration to their students. I love being a teacher. The profession might be difficult but as you said it is noble. As for me, it is the most wonderful job of all.

I think if people are bored with their work they need to find something that they enjoy. Scolding the teacher infront of you all? That sounds so degrading and mean. I have worked for one company I can think of where the boss was very mean. It was her way or the highway.

i agree, one of my son's teachers became not only a house hold name, but a family friend. she still is, even though my son doesn't have her any more. she made that much of an impact in our lives. we love her so much because she had such an influence on my son, no only academically. there will never be another like her for him. i only hope my daughter gets a chance to have a teacher like that.

If your friend is a nurse then why is she teaching. Been a teacher is not an easy thing and requires alot of sacrifices, understanding and patience. On the other hand, your boss need to learn and know the right way to conduct herself especially infront of the student. It is not right to scold teachers infront of the students.
