Abortion is justified when a pregnant person thinks it is. End of story. Not your body, not your pregnancy, not your problem.

This pretty much sums it up.
To be honest, I'm quite tired of religious people thinking they're somehow morally superior to others who don't follow their own morals. I've known far too many Christians who scoff at the idea of having an abortion yet turn around and break one (or more) of the ten commandments and somehow think that they have the right to judge others like sins are not created equal. If breaking a commandment gets you into Hell according to your belief structure then does it really matter which one you break to get there? Unless you believe in Dante's Hell, in which I guess it does make a slight difference.
If you believe in the Bible, which says not to judge and where a lot of the anti-abortion arguments come from, then why are we having this conversation? You don't want or believe in abortions, don't have one. Let whoever wants one have one and leave the rest up to your God, who is supposed to have all the answers.

Thing is, the Bible doesn't really have any solid view on abortion in it ... any passages cited are flimsy at best, and even then, there's the problem of letting the Bible be used as a reason to make laws. That's unfair to people who aren't of a religion that follows the Bible, or to people who have no religion at all.

WHen a woman is raped and the emotional reminder this child would too much for her to bare. When there are medical issues that tell the parents and doctor of the child that it would not have a good life. I think a woman should have the right to chose whether she has a child or not.

How are you able to judge that a child would not have a good life? When a woman is raped, is it really okay to kill the life that lives inside? Why not let the baby be born and be given to another who wishes to have the child?
As for medical issues, wouldn't it be best to choose to find a way to save both mother and child instead of either one?

Able to judge? It may not be right to kill the life that was made during a rape but it happens. And medical issues cost so much now days families can't alway afford them. Reality hits hard in this life. I think a woman has the right to chose. It is not easy but it is up to her. And I would not be one to form any opinions one way or the other.

I believe that there are ways to save a life without resorting to letting go of another. I don't know about others but as long as you search for the answer, the solutions will always come to you.

Women who have personal interest as their priority would actually think of doing this... We have heard a lot of women who needs to prioritise careers or similar going to abortionists... But for me... There are actually no reasons why a would be mother think of doing this to her child... There are no valid reasons why this should even be thought of.

Not every person who is capable of getting pregnant wants to be a mother, or has any intentions of ever being a mother.

No way. First and foremost, in the eyes of God abortion is a mortal sin. Women who done this has no conscience. If she would have (in the first place) it was just being replaced by shame, untimely moment of having a child and afraid of the responsibilities she would be having once she already a child to take care.

Abortion is the same as the murder of an unborn child. I don't think it can be justified. A woman who "accidentally" became pregnant due to her own decision should face the consequences of her actions and become responsible to what she had brought into this world.
The same goes for a woman who is raped. She still has no right to take an innocent life away.

Abortion is never a choice. Life is a gift, whether it is wanted or unwanted, we must take good care of it. Nobody has the right to take someone's life. There are a lot of people out there, dying to have one.

I totally agree! Life is so precious ... especially to the unborn child. In case of a
"rape" victim got pregnant, one option I would suggest is still keep the baby and put it up for adoption.

I think that early pregnancy is an emotional time. It can be a shock for a lady to have an unplanned and unwanted pregnancy. I think that if a lady can get used to being pregnant it is wonderful. If she decides an abortion then it is a big mistake. She may not realize years later she is likely to get severe depression. I don't think in 98% of cases abortion is justified. If the lady's life is in danger then at least one of them is saved. If a lady conceives during an attack I feel very sorry for her. In that case adoption might be a good idea. The lady would be very distressed and make a clear judgement after what horror has happened to her. I don't agree with abortion because it is killing an innocent baby.

Personally, I do not think that abortion is the right choice, but I also do not feel that I have the right to tell somebody else what she has to do with her body, especially in extreme circumstances. I do not think that she has to justify abortion to me or you or pretty much anybody else... she might have to justify it to herself, possibly the father, and God, but that is not for either of us to judge. Also, if the woman is "not in her right mind", then is abortion more justified and who determines what is a "right mind"?

Therapeutic abortion for me is the only justified one. This is having abortion when the life of the mother is at risk or the child has no chance of living outside the womb. The other type of abortion is the one really intended to get rid of the baby because she is unwanted or unplanned is never justified at all. If you don't want to get pregnant use a family planning method.

Abortion is justified when the life of the mother and the unborn child is in danger. It is usually done to save the mother. Other times would be during rape if the mother is psychologically and emotionally tormented that she is unable to take care of herself and the baby or to continue with the pregnancy.

i really, disagree abortion, your killing an innocent,as woman we need to become more responsible in our doings, if your not ready to get married, don't make love to your boyfriend. You do it if you are already matured enough and ready to face of what is the consiquences of your doing.
