Hi maariah0103. I love baking at home usually chocolate chip cookies. At times I do bake cakes and other pastries too. I made all of them from scratch. Though I did try out the instant stuffs from the store. The results, look good but the taste, at time is kind of synthetic to me. However, if you wish to try out the stuffs from the store, I think Betty Crocker is the best.

HI Mariah0103 I have been making homemade cookies for about 50 years now.
I would say the only kinds of cookies I might buy rather than baking is oreos, vienna fingers, and fig newtons.
Everything else I am pretty much a wiz at.
One year I wanted to make cookies like what you see in the magazines for Christmas time. I spent 2 whole days on different kinds and frostings and decorations. Once I got them finished I displayed them proudly on my diningroom table.
When kids and hubby come home, I was like see what I have made? And my husband picks one up and says Cookies do you have any milk? GRRRRRRRRRRR not the right words I wanted to hear LOL
No one seemed to notice a difference whether they were fully decorated or just regular cookies straight out of the oven.
That was the one and only time I went that far to make fancy cookies just to see cookie monsters just demolish them LOL
I have cookie recipes that date back to over a 100 years that have been in my family.
Pretty awesome. All my kids have the recipes as I made them each their own recipe book with all the family recipes.
Do you bake yours?
