Oh ,if you do no t want to sleep ,you can drink tea ,or coffee.
If really sleepy ,nap for a while for about 15minutes ,maybe can increase your job efficiency.

I work at nights so I always sleep at noon. I actually have rituals before sleeping, first I take a shower, the have a nice warm meal. Of course you can't sleep right away after eating so I watch I favorite sitcoms. It's important to do stuff you like after a hard days work. After 2 or 3 episodes I'd go to sleep for 5 to 6 hours. I'm consistently in the night shift, and these rituals help me relax. I hope you can find something to do that's relaxing before going to sleep. Don't think about work too much.

Like toniganzon said, close your eyes for few minutes, it can relieves stress, and go to wash your face and drink a cup of coffee.

A brief sleep can bring some relief on feeling an exhausted state after tiresome or boring tasks done at noon. But if that sleep is allowed to be lengthy, a particular type of laziness may occur affecting all the afternoon time.
