Are you on Twitter?

I had of course heard of Twitter and now with my blogs I use it daily to promote things. But I don't think I am what you call a big Twitter fan. I am almost at 17,000 followers, but I never really post anything personal. Most of my tweets are for business only and I don't really read the feed and follow what celebs are doing or anything like that.
Are you on Twitter and do you use it for business or personal use and how does it affect your life. For me I find that this is where we get the most traffic to our blogs, so it is an indispensable business tool, but not something I like for personal use.

Yup, I am on twitter...
It's for personal use. More for my own micro blogging. I do read some interesting news once in awhile from twitter.
Since you use twitter for business, virtualmirage, how come you don't keep track of the feeds? There may be people from your customer seeking advice? Twitter is a good platform for customer service and responding to customer. Can build rapport between customers.

The problem is that because I am not such a huge fan of it and only use it when I have to, that I don't even know how to use it to it's most potential. I only recently learned how to find out who was mentioning me and re-tweeting my tweets. This I found out because it affected my Klout score. But really I don't know how to keep track of feeds, or anything else. I follow many people, this is because in order to get a big following I have to follow people too. So when I open my page it loads hundreds of tweets like every 5 minutes and I find it very hard to keep track of anything on there. When I am doing a Twitter party, I just go to tweetchat, which makes is really easy to follow the party, but other than that I am pretty lost.

You can make use of list to group your tweet feeds. So you can view certain feeds by list.
Otherwise, tidy up you following list of people. Follow those that you really want to follow their feeds, not blindly follow for numbers. Defeat the purpose of the full meaning of twitter.

Holy...17,000 followers? I wish I had that many, not that I'd use Twitter for anything. I'm notoriously bad at updating my blog or my Twitter, so I don't have much good content or interesting things to share with people. I tend to use Twitter for personal use more actually, since I follow a bunch of game magazines and science websites so I find my news through Twitter. I don't follow celebrities or anything like that though.

That's exactly what happens with me and why I so often lack interest in the blogs or updating either Fb or Twitter. All I really do is work and if I ever do get a day off to go to L.A. or anywhere else, the last thing I want to do is update the darn sites that I am on all day every day. My account is decent but no where near enough as I need. Twitter account size is one of the first things I always get asked by potential sponsors, so it is very important that I get as many as I can. But there is nothing really fun in there for me. Imagine my updates...working-working-working!

I am a member of Twitter. But actually I am very active in a Twitter-like website called Weibo here. I found that it is too difficult for me to write in Twitter since English is not my first language. I can't write such a short post to express myself. And this is why I like to post on Weibo since I can express myself well in Chinese.
I love China

Yes, I have Twitter and it is for my personal use. I get all the updates that I want, may it either be from news, from celebrities or from my friends at school. It is really an indispensable tool, both for business and for personal use. I think I would not get tired of Twitter.

My daughter uses her Twitter just like you do. She follows all her friends and all of her favorite celebrities. She also gets the news this way ( which seems really weird to me), but I guess since people spread the word really fast it's a good way to know what is going on with the world. She only has like 50 followers and only follows who she wants which probably makes reading updates easier. Since I use mine for business, it is overflowing and I can't read the updates fast enough...maybe I need my own small personal account.

I have Twitter - for personal use - but I rarely use it. I don't really have anything useful to post, though I don't get how everyone always says on Twitter people post stupid things like "going to the bathroom," "gonna brush my teeth," "going to bed"... I've never seen that.

Just to answer your question, I say NO, I'm not registered on Twitter. However, if this can interested, I'm on Facebook. I believe that this will not surprise you much, in fact it has about 1 billion users around the world. The question I want to do to you, is as follows. You can also do the same job on facebook that you do on Twitter?
