how to hide birthmarks?

i have a huge birthmark on my leg, so i cant wear those mini shorts and skirt because it shows up, and its embarrassing. i try not to care about it, but it annoys me everytime someone asks "what is that?". now how to hide birthmarks? or at least, how not to show it? dispense with the surgery or laser, what is the home solution for this?
