My daughter is finally going to school. She is now 3 years old and she had been waiting for the right time that she will finally be accepted in a kindergarten school... she woke up very early than she usually do so she won't be late for school. As we were driving her to her school I keep on talking to my husband that I don't really feel right, I had butterflies in my stomach, and questions were running in my head that what if she will cry when she get in the room without me anymore, what if she would feel bored in the class and a lot more.
So when we were there already the teacher let us stay inside the room for 10minutes then when they were already starting we were ask to stay outside of the classroom door. To my surprise my daughter did not cry, she was the one who told me that mommy's will wait outside the door not inside the room. I was already relieve but after an hour I heard her voice crying so loud, the teacher did not call for me. I was so worried. After the class I ask her how is it, and she answered me "soooo great, mommy i have a star.I will have my class again tomorrow!" I did not expect that answer since I heard her crying a while ago. She told me that she stumbled inside while she was playing with her new friends and somebody step on her hand by accident, but teacher kiss her hands better and she felt better already.
I was so happy for the bravery of my little girl.
I just felt like sharing it to everyone today!

Same here. My 3year old will start K1 this school year, which would be in June. But, she lacks writing skills, which is a requirement, so we enrolled her for summer class sessions. She's enjoying it. I told her that she's better than mommy, because when I was first sent to school, I cried and didn't let grandmother leave me. She was pleased to hear my story and teased me and was so proud that she outlasted me. Now, everytime she arrives home from school, she shows me their activities and tells me stories about her teacher and classmates. She's really enjoying it and Im happy for her.

Thank You so much. I truly am... It is truly a memorable day for me. I just felt so happy all mixed with the feeling of fear, anxiety all mixed up that i could explain it all. To sum it up, feeling excited.

Praise makes the heart grow happier worry less. rewards are an answer to many problems just like disapline is; they kind of work together. My daughter is now 8 and ever since she was about three she wanted to ride a school bus. She was so excited when ever she saw a school bus. Some times we had a contest to see who saw the most school buses. I am just happy for all the children when the simplest things makes them so happy. I hope your daughter will continue to receive many gold stars to come.
God Bless!
