No internet connection for 2 weeks

I'm finally back online after nearly two weeks without internet!!
My city has been hit by an enormous storm, possibly the greatest in the last 100 years and caused havoc in every place around. In my home, the winds were terrible and all, but nothing really important happened, save for my internet connection going completely down. I guessed that it will only last a few hours, but to my surprise I was forced to call my phone company for them to fix it. Finally yesterday, they restored it and I'm back online.
In all these days, I was really out of the world. I can't chat, no Google, no forums, and no online games. When at home, I just remembered the old days when I played games all the day, and give a few oldies another try, and also take the chance to clean up my computer a bit. It wasn't totally a waste after all. Now I have to catch up with the rest of the world for all this time.
So to share and ask something, what do you do if you happen to have no internet at all?

awww where is this? so is everyone okay now after the storm? well there are times when there is a storm and there is no electricity which is even more difficult. it's better to have no internet rather than electricity LOL because it is even more boring and it's hard to do things like heat food and all that.
when there is no internet, i get a little sad because coming here is my only past time lately and also communicating with my friends through facebook, but it's okay, i would just watch a movie instead.

That sounds and - judging from the pic - looks like a very bad storm that you had in your city!
I can exist without internet, actually it's just been a year or so that I have it at home when I want. Earlier I always had to go to library or internet cafe to check what I wanted on internet and browse. So if I didn't have internet for a while, I would probably just read books, learn languages, do some crafty things and call my friends to meet up instead of chatting. I would miss all the information available on the internet though.

I would visit my local library, if there was no connection at my home. That is a long time to have no connection at all. If it happened to me and it wasn't possible to visit the library, then I would read a book.

Welcome back, RamRes. I have always managed to get an internet 3G or Wifi connection with my phone when I travel, but if a storm had cut all connections, I would have nothing else to do than to wait until it is fixed. Too weeks would be long, and I am asking myself how many messages from myLot I would find in my email box ? An idea?

Been in that same situation too. Gosh! It feels like so different when you can't connect to the internet especially when its part of your daily routine.
But, one good thing about it is you'll have the chance to notice things around you. Just like for example, you have cleaned your computer. Mine was that I had time to play with my siblings which I haven't done for a long time already and it feels so good to bond with them! ^^
Welcome back to the internet world, RamRes!
