I was quite thinking about the mayan predictions a while ago so i searched some data's about it. not surprisingly, as i was expecting, what i saw is an article which says Reasons the world will not end in December 21, 2012. as i was reading it, there are many things that you should consider before believing this. in my point of view, as far as i know and as far as i researched from data, mayan (the ancient ones) people do not exist anymore. their predictions were linked to another prediction which is the Armageddon that started from the sumerian who discovered the planet Nibiru that was supposedly will crash the earth in May 2003 which did not happened so it was postponed up to december 2012. regarding these matters, in my opinion, we do not have the facts to say when will the world end. it's just predictions. what we can really say in facts are those things like when can we have tsunamis, earthquake, storms etc. that scientists could possibly state through their scientific devices. but the exact end of the world is unknown. how about you? what is your opinion?

Hiya ARYN,
No I cannot believe in those predictions either. The World has supposed to have ended before now at other times and nothing has happened in particular.
If it did end that would be it for most of us like others say so why should I bother about something I have no control over?
Anyway I think that they might have been perhaps valid predictions then but they are not now.
Who knows why they make such predictions?
Anyone with common sense knows that this is not going to happen at least when they say so.
They reckon that there is a huge asteroid on its way to the earth but then they start saying that they really cannot calculate exactly when it is supposed to get here can´t even remember the name of it because on the progam they were being so vague about it all saying er yes maybe all that sort of thing.
For me Astrology is only tendencies that could or could not happen and that´s it.

yes, it can be just tendencies and reminders that mother earth needs importance. although we cannot calculate when will the earth disappear, e just have to accept it if it will happen in our generation and be ready. lucky if not! let's just live life to the fullest and share our blessings to those who are in need. =)

Hiya Aryn,
Tendencies and reminders yes that we need to wake up and realize that we cannot keep treating our Mother Planet like this.
Reckon if something like that Asteroid they kept talking about really happened I wonder if any of us would really survive we just have no way of knowing and we would not even realize it was coming till the last minute would we I suppose anyway.xxx

Actually what the mayan calendar predicts is not necessarily the end of the world... 12.21.2012. is just the end of the mayan calendar, and that calendar is a circle. A circle has no end, it should continue, it only means a new cycle... but either way, we will see if next year this time we will be able to joke about the end of the world or it will have happened. I don't know if I should believe in these predictions or not, we will see.

oh, that's why.. well, it's a sort of misleading though. people may believe that what the mayan predicts is the end of the world and not the end of the cycle. abyway now i know it's just the end of the cycle haha! anyway, with the things happening in the world today like solar flares, tsunamis, earthquake etc. it is not normal though. let's just hope we manage to escape from this disasters.

i don't think any world will end on this day. i think it actually might signify something but then according to the latest i watched there are other calendars discovered and some have actually been destroyed during the inquisition so i believe it might just be destroyed or something... so even the signs of the times are quite obvious as to the end of the world signals, it probably is still far off.

Months ago i was into reading Mayan and all the information regarding such predictions, i even saw the episode they had in NatGeo about it, they tried to comprehend what is all behind it.
In that episode in Natgeo, i learned that the reason their calendar ended at 2012 is because something great happened.. a big climate change, flood that really obliterated their civilization..
But we really never know what is to come, but in my heart i believe it won't end as God said he would not destroy the earth again.

hi my friend. i believe God has his own plans so we should not think ahead of him. nobody will be able to know what had God planned for us. anyway let's just accept that. if what would happen, so be it. let's just enjoy our lives and do good deeds before we die. lol! have a great day ahead!

I'm not sure how it was actually measured to be December 21, 2012, and I don't think it's the end all-be all its made out to be. But granted this, scientists agree that a solar flare is expected to take place late this year and with all the recent earthquakes everywhere, something IS happening to the Earth.

Well, honestly i don't think people nowadays would believe those kind of prediction. We would most likely and already did make a movie about that. These tsunamis, earthquake, volcano eruption, and all that kind of stuff is just the beginning or the end of the world since it doesn't make any big and i mean really big impact on earth. I could say that we have likely another 50-100 years until the big impact or actually the end of the earth. About the mayan prediction ? It's just some scam hundred or thousand years ago when one of those people think that he is god and want people to believe in him.

I don't know why it's important for people to know when the 'end' is? I mean, if it's the end of the world, why should we be afraid of it? After all, all of us are going, right? It's not like you're the only one left - then that's going to be a problem.
Anyhow, I don't really try to sink it in because there's no point in fretting for something that is going to happen to all of us. Therefore, plan, work, and live! hehehe..
I would like to go to South Korea, Japan, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, and Italy. But only for vacation. I wouldn't want to live there. I want to go there for the sights. I don't want to go to the USA nor Australia hehehe.. I don't know why, I just don't see them as places that appeal me.
Have a great MyLot experience ahead!

I don't bilieve that predictions. Becase science show that is not true and there are not many evidence to proof that predictions. And science show that the earth can burn about than many milion years later.
