i would like to lose weight but i can not seem to find the time.ii have a very busy life and i seem to always be on the go or have something around the house that needs to be done. we do not eat the healthiest either but part of that is we are both so tired we go for the easy things and also that we do not know how to cook a lot of things. my husband tries to tell me i look fine the way i am and he says no diet for me. hes not telling me what to do he just doesnt approve of it because like i said he says i am perfect the way i am but he doesnt understand that i also want to feel good about myself. i am overweight and i do not feel good about myself. how does everyone else lose weight? and how do you find the time to do so?

You need motivation in order to have time for exercise. However, if it is really not feasible, doing household chores can already give you exercise. You need to watch your calorie intake if you want to loose weight. Sometimes, exercise does not guarantee you on loosing weight, it just help you increase your metabolism and of course, burn some calories.

i have the motivation i just do not think i am at the right point just yet. i really want to but i have so much going on in my life i just dont always feel like i can. i never thought of it like that tho i guess i am burning calories while i clean and go to my grandmas and take the kids outside to play. i have never really understood how the calorie thing worked lol but i know when i am cleaning or am busy i do not eat a whole lot and from what i understand that is also bad for me to do. thank you for your imput i will look into how to watch the calories and how to cook healthier meals than we do now so that way i have a better cahnce to lose weight because from what i understand it doenst matter how much exercise you are doing if you are eating a lot of calories your body can not burn them all in 1 day with the exercise....or am i wrong in thinking that?

Yes, sometimes it will take time to burn the calories you took in 1 day. You cannot do this in just one exercise. Remember, excess calories will be stored in the body, if not burned out, as fat, thus gain you additional weight. Try to visit my site, chemistry9861.blogspot.com, I have there 1 entry entitled "eat more food, loose more weight".

If you're running around and very busy through the day, then you are already getting lots of activity and exercise, and that means that your weight is being held up more from how much you're eating, rather then not getting enough exercise. You know what the easiest food in the world to prepare is? Fresh fruits and vegetables, and that is simply some of the best food in the world you can be eating, and it will lower your calories. If you want to be exact about it, then figure out how much you're eating in a day, and how much you should be eating, and cut it down to an appropriate level. Its not very tough, its just something you have to really want.

I started changing around my diet back years and years ago, and back then, I was really in the same place as you, there are only a few fruits and veggies that I liked... or I liked white bread better then brown bread, or more sugar tastes better... but over the years, I've focused more on what is better for me, and nowadays, I like the taste of loads of different fruits and veggies, and I like 12 grain more then white, and all sorts of things along those lines. Your sense of taste will change, depending on how you eat, over long periods of time... so it might not seem as good, now, but it'll become favorites, later on. Keeping to routine is a really good idea, too. Don't go without food for a long time, then have lots of food all at once... not good for you. The more you get into doing it regularly, the easier and easier it's going to get... it's just getting started, that's the hard part.

i never looked at it as everything i do each day is exercise. there are some days that i am not that busy that i will be trying to make the habbit of exercising and trying new exercises that way it is something diffrent everyday because from what i have heard that is what helps burn the most calories. when i am so busy each day i sometimes do not eat all day or i will only eat a little bit here and there and then i will have a big dinner that is not that healthy. thank you for your comment because after sitting here and thinking about it there is a lot of things that i can cut back on that would most likely help me lose weight. over weight runs in my family and a lot of my family is having health problems and i do not want to go down that route also it is sad to watch them be so sick and nothing can be done for them. yes fruit is very easy to fix but i am a very picky eater and there are only a few thing that i will eat in the fruit category but i have thought of making some sort of fruit salad and eating that each morning and may b lunch to then having a normal dinner. we also eat late sometimes so there is no time to burn those calories before i lay down to go to sleep at night.

my families health problems are not jsut related to their weight but they are trying to lose some weight and i guess to me thinking that well they can do it why cant i?..i know kind of weird thinking lol but it is what is getting me motivated to do so myself. yes i am in that boat like you once were i will ONLY eat white bread everything else is not an option lol, i will only drink whole milk (if i drink it at all), lots of butter in everything that requires butter, ect....but i may try to slowly start eating the better things for me. ive heard people say "well you get use to it over time you just have to force your self at the beginning and then you will soon want those foods all the time". i never really believed it because i am so picky but i am thinking maybe 1 better thing every day or every other day would atleast be an ok start. we are trying to get set times that we eat now but i have a bad habbit of fixing my kids something and while they eat i will start doing the things around the house that needs to get done. i am thinking of writing out a schedule for myself each day and that way i can remind myself to not ignore im hungry til later on then eat more :) yes getting started is the hard part but thank you so much for all your advice and insight because with all i am reading about peoples veiws i am getting more motivated and i can see how it would help me to be healthier :)

finding the time is the hard part for me but from what i am noticing i already do a lot of things that involve a lot of exercise. i dont know what you mean by "product that lose my weight" but if you mean like a pill or a diet or something you can get from a store that is whatmy husband doesnt want. i am looking for something that i can do and he wont know im doing it and it will just happen then he will not care. he wants me happy but he doesnt want me to do it the diet way.

I think the best would be to start with is trying to cook healthy...I know it's time consuming, but maybe you have some time in the weekend, when you can cook for more day and keep the food in the freezer, then just take it out and warm it up. There are many cooking books and recipes online, you could look for easier ones and try what you like. Fast food and ready made foods are loaded with sugar and fats, things that might not allow you to lose weight even if you don't eat a lot. If you find time to cook for yourself, you know what you eat. Using too much refined carbohydrates, things with sugar and white flour can make you feel very hungry very quickly and put you in a circle of craving and eating. Even if you don't lose much weight from cooking yourself, it feels better and gives more energy if you eat healthy. Fruits and nuts are very good snacks. It sounds like you already have a lot of exercise. You might also choose to ride a bike or walk a bit more when you go somewhere.

yes i can usually find the time on the weekends and i may try that because i think that would help us eat healthier if i can make it on the weekend and just heat it up throughout the week. yes i have a bad problem with the fast food because usually when i am with my grandma she stops almost every time we go out and sometimes 2 times. i just go along with it she is buying and it makes things a little easier on me with not having to fix her something to eat since i always have a lot to do for her. we are the worst for buying the ready made foods also because between everything i do each day and my husband working we are sometimes to tired to cook but doing waht you said on the weekends would help that situation a lot. i also drink a lot of soda because i have to have the caffine or i will get bad headaches so i know that doesnt help either. i have been thinking of looking up recipes for fruit salads and i can eat that for lunch each day. i am very picky about what i eat and waht i like to eat which includes my fruits but i am sure i can not put some things in them if i dont like them and add others that i do :) yes i have a lot of exercise each day now that i really think about it lol but i agree with the walking more when i go places and i have started parking at the back of a parking lot so that i have to walk farther to get in the store. its not much but i guess every little bit helps :) thank you for your comment/advice it was very helpful :)

Well, the best way to start losing weight is from your daily meal. Start to buy a healthy meal with less fat or it's simpler if you are cooking at home since you know what you put into those meals. Secondly, you should take only the 3 meals every day which is breakfast, lunch, and dinner and never even miss one of those meals and take them at the right time. Thirdly, never ever eat junk food in the gap between those 3 main meals of the day. I should also advice you to not eat at late night, you can have your supper at 10 PM, with only biscuits and milk, but not dinner. If you can actually start on your daily meals diet. Then i bet you can proceed into some light exercise. 1 hours is more than enough since if you're just starting, 20 minutes of jogging everyday is enough.

we do not eat the best things and sometimes we do eat the ready made food because it is quick and easy but i am taking the rest of this month to look up new things i can try and cook and i have been thinking of may b some fruit salads for lunch. sometime i do not make it to the 3 meals a day i usually skip breakfast and sometimes my lunch will not be until 3-4 in the afternoon if i even eat at that time. then i always have dinner and i know it is more than i should be eating but after not eating all day i am starving lol. i am also bad at when i get bored i find a snack to eat throughout the day so i am going to be trying to stop that next month when i get really serious about losing this weight and putting all i have learned/found into action. we also have that bad habit of eating late night but we are starting to change that so we can eat as a family and get our kids on a set schedule before they start school this coming up year. thank you for your comment/advice i really appriciate it. it helped a lot and has me thinking about my everyday life. i think i will be able to find the time for atleast 1 hr a day :) thanx again :)

I know exactly how you feel. and the funny part is my husband loves me the way I am and when I told him I wanted to lose weight he was almost mad..lol. To me it's about feeling good and about health. I don't want to be so unhealthy when I get older that I can't run after my grandkids. As for the not finding time I totally agree. It seems that when I do find time I just want to sit down and do NOTHING..ugh. but I have found that there are things I can do. While I clean house I can wear ankle wieghts. I can eat smaller meals and drink tons of water. Every time I pass the faucet I drink a glass of water. I can take the stairs and not the elevator..just little things to think about

it is nice to know that i am not alone in this :) my husband also seemed like he was mad at me but i agree it is the principle of things and trying to feel better about me and living healthier and teachingmy kids to do the same. yes that is another fear of mine i smoke cig to so it is already a little hard for me sometimes just to run around for my kids but i find a way and i would hate to not be able to do this with my grand kids (when my kids get old enough to have kids lol they are still little) OMG yes that is the same way i feel because i rarely get the time to jsut sit and relax and do nothin. even while doing mylot i am doing other things haha. thank you for the ideas i will think about that. today when my aunt, me, my husband, and my kids went to the store we all walked around the whole store looking for his mom (their grandma) because we wanted to surprise her at work. then i walked back and forth through out the store while she looked around. i have also started parking farther back in the parking lot so i have to walk to and from the car with a farther distance. i drink a lot of soda cuz i have to have the caffine or i get headaches and i do not like coffee so i am going to try and substitue a few things of soda for water to prevent headaches but still get the water i need (i dont drink enough of it lol). i guess in all honesty when you dont have the time it is the small things that add up. i will be eating less at meals but i have to start making sure i eat 3 meals a day i am very bad at not getting 3 a day...

I agree with the above responses, as motivation really should be sustained. If you want to live right and feel good inside out, then you have to constantly remind yourself of the things that you must do and should not do and be more compliant of what you need to do.

thank you for your comment :) i am getting more and more motivated as each day goes by because i am not happy about myself and that just isnt a great feeling. i am going to start trying to add extra exercise in my everyday life and with my everyday tasks. i may even go out and buy an outfit that is smaller than me and be determined i will wear that and just keep working to that goal it would help me to stay more motivated with each day :)

that is a good idea about trying to do it in the morning before you start your day. that is like a way to start your day off fresh then shower and your ready for the vusy day ahead of you. i will think about this. i get embarressed to exercise in front of people and my husband gets up early to get ready fro work but the kids are not always up when he leaves i could use that time to exercise. when we go camping/fishing we do a lot of walking which helps me a lot but all this just doesnt seem to do the job. over weight runs in my family and i have seen a few people in my family who are having some bad health issues due to their weight and i do not want that for myself. i am thinking of exercising each morning and night and then i still will be doing all my daily activities so may b that will do the trick. i also need to find a better way to eat and i am sure that would help lol but i am a very bad cook lol. thank you for your comment and i hope that you have a nice day also :)
