Last night I went home late, turned on a lamps, nothing change, still dark... It means electricity is cut off. I could not cook without electricity, then i went out for my dinner. Went back home with a small candle...i thought, it is ok, i still can listen music on my phone. Oh, no, just a half of a song , my phone is off. Its battery is empty. It was so hot and humid. I could do nothing, it was so so boring... Went from a room to a balcony to kill a time, but i could not walk like that all evening with mosquito around then I decided go to sleep. Tried to make a little bit wind from a paper hand fan, took shower again...and then finally i could sleep. But i woke up many times at night because it was too hot. Then I was hungry but nothing to eat at home...then hard to get back sleep, OMG, it was so horrible!!! I am very tired now. It was horrible night in the beginning of summer. I am afraid that i may get many nights like that in this summer also because electricity will be cut off frequently in summer time. The electricity is still off in the morning when i leave. I hope tonight wont be same as last night....

Wow that is tough... I know its very hard to sleep when its hot and humid... Was the electricity turned off due to an outage or some type of rationing... Also how often does that happen... We have very rare occasions where we are subject to what they call "rolling brown outs", these are power shortages due to high energy demands over a wide area... And of course sometimes due to horrible storms... There are some rather in-expensive solutions that may be acceptable for you're situation... If you are able to make some modifacations where you live I can give you some hints... You might have to make a couple of purchases and hire a handy man for some help... But it will last a long time...

There is a process to overcome this problem to a greater or lesser degree... Depending on how much you can spend and the rules where you live... Hooking up two or three or four 12volt car batteries in the correct sequence then connecting a 5000 watt full sign wave or 1/2 sign wave electrical converter would give you enough electricity to last thru the night or even a couple of days depending on how many appliances you ran at one time... The converter usually comes with at least 4 plug in recepticles... During times when the electricity is on you would need to keep the car batteries charged with a small inexpensive 12volt trickle charger... Of course there are a great number of varriations of this sequence... Maybe something to look into... Good luck... P.S. The batteries may need to be kept sheltered and outside due to (noxious fumes).

Ya, it is really a tough. Normally electricity is enough for the use in winter or spring, but in summer, electricity is often cut off because it is too over, even in the big city. You are living in a good place, then you don't need to worry about this problem like me. Hire a handy man for some help? what do you mean?

That is indeed a very horrible experience. No electricity. I can't live like that. And mosquito's... be careful not to be bitten. How many days will the lack of your electricity power be going on? I can't sleep if it's so friggin' hot and insects feasting on me. I'll be a walking zombie the next day it this happens.

That is so unfortunate. It seems we will be experiencing the same thing. We have some problems with power outage from where I live frequently--especially during summer. Why does it always have to happen during summer? Now this is a good story to share in a group that wants some summer nightmare experiences. I just hope we can survive to tell the tale.

It is so hot in summer. so that every family uses fans, air conditioning, etc...so that electricity is not enough to use, i think. In city, we have to do save electricity in summer time by cut it off for a while in a day, may around 4-5 hours in day time or night time. If it is cut off in daytime, i am ok with it because we can go out, go to another place where there is electricity. but night time, it will be worse, especially at midnight, cant go out, very hot, darkness... I really cant sleep well without a fan or air conditioning when it is hot.

I don't know exactly. There was electricity in yesterday morning since i left but in the evening, it was cut off. What i know is we will have many days without electricity in this summer season.:) Yes, i could not sleep well too, hot, humid, hungry..you can imagine my situation at that time. It was my nightmare.... Thank you for your concerning, you are very kind, SinfulRose.

I'd really feel horrible too in your situation, considering i did have similar situation; when the power cut happened in our colony. But luckily it was for an hour and i managed to use my emergency lamp. These lamps are real handy. And it wasn't hot, so it was ok for me to just stay for a moment without electricity.

You are so lucky... No, i don't have. it is expensive and currently i cant buy it. If i buy it, i also have no place for it. Normally hotels, rest houses, factories, etc that use much electricity have to use it in case the electricity is cut off. Well, it is just the beginning of summer but it is so hot. i feel tired when think of others days without electricity in this summer now...
