I am home right now. I get here to settle things up with my sister. She's a bit confused on what to take up in college so i would have to give her some idea of the courses she may take in college.
Nursing would be good, but it's too hard to find a good paying job here in the country with that profession.
Accountancy, like mine, but she just hate numbers so she doesn't buy that suggestion.
And then Nautical? What is that? A woman, on board a ship? Just absurd (at least for me). So I don't like it for her.
And we come across MARKETING. Business Administration - Major in Marketing.
I explained it to her and she liked it. No, she was thinking of it but just doesn't know what course it is. So She's interested on taking up Marketing! Wow! at long last for months of debates and discussions, we've finally agreed. Wow!
Just glad we've agreed on this one.
I guess any course would be great, so long as you love it. Any thoughts?

Anything that she would strive hard to study would be good. I was a Marketing student in college. That was my major and the fun part in the university i went to was that we used books by foreign authors whereas other universities in my city used those authored by our fellowmen. And the irony is, i went to the University of the Philippines.
Anyway the theories on those books are way more advanced than the ones authored by Filipinos and those theories are being implemented now in our country so i think that did me good.
Good luck to your sister and i hope she'll take passion in studying that. It's really fun. I love the case study part where we get to the SWOT analysis. She will learn what that means when she goes to college with a major in Marketing.

Oh, didn't know you got Marketing for pre law... hmmm, maybe you could give her some advise then?
I hope she'd work her best and excel in this field. It's a real good course. I know if she'd do her best, she will reap the harvest of blessing.

Marketing and anything that has to do with business administration is a good pick. It is easy to find a job that pays a good salary with any degree in business. I am studying accounting after majoring in science and I discovered that I love business. Nothing like having the skills to build a business and knowing how to run it.

Ah yes, that's what I thought too. Business related courses are always in demand. Business and all other establishments will surely need someone who has a degree in any business related courses. I really didn't have a hard time looking for a job years ago after obtaining my license. Because schools, hospitals, companies/corporations needs us. They have openings, and I get to choose where I want to be. I also honestly think, Marketing is a good pick.

Marketing, ewwww. Business administration, ewwww. Both horrible subjects if you ask me. But then I've run into a LOT of women who enjoy them both (and who are very good at it). Just bear in mind that they're both tough markets and she'll need to be very organised and/or creative to succeed in them. Best of luck to her.

You do realise it's the 21st Century, right? Not the fourteenth?

Wow! amazing! This just blow my mind. lol what a candid response. Love it. Anyway, yeah, you have a point this is the 21st Century.lol but I am still a lil old school??haha and good thing though is, my sister's kinda love the course. She's excited to enroll. She's creative yes. We'll work on her being organised. She's a bit messy every time. But I guess she'll learn how to be the best Marketing personnel if she truly loved it.

Marketing is a great idea! It will involve a little bit of everything skill wise and should be something that will never get boring! That's exciting that she came to figure out what she wanted to do! I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. But when it came to my master's degree it took me a long time to decide on the topic. I just started my program too! lol...Good luck to you and your sister.

Yeah, I actually one of my therapist/psychologist friend with my sister's case. He said, my sister needs someone to guide her and that eventually she'll figure out what she wants. A blind man will always be blind till someone guides him with the directions. Makes sense. So I give her the idea of what it would be like if she takes what course. Glad we have an agreement on this one. Wow congrats to you! And yeah thanks for wishing me and my sis luck.

I agree with your last statement - that you have to love the subject tor the career that you want to. They are people who can adjust or go into many industry and adjust themselves. Unfortunately, I am not one with them.
I am glad for your sister because she decided on a course

You're right. And yes, I did tell her to pursue what she really wants. And as of the moment, she's excited with the idea of being in Marketing field. So I just told her, I have her back, and that she can always count on me, if something's mess up, we can sort it out. I'll be with her. Just do what she wants to do. And in my perspective, the way I look at her, and as to how i knew her, she's really fit for Marketing. So bless us God. I too is excited for her.
