Would you guys reading with music around your ears

Would you think it will get you distracted and can not focuse on your target or it will make your reading more excited and interested?
I used to have this habit but I quit for sometime, the simple reason is because I could not find more songs that is classic to me, and you know it is kind of getting boring repeatedly enjoying limited music sources. So I gave up for sometime. But there is no exact evidence that my efficiency got improved. So I wonder what you guys think of this and do you have the same habit. And I am sorry if there is some logic problem because I am writing with the music on.

Reading while listening to music? Hmmm. When i want to read a novel, i do not want any noise, even soft music that i hear. All i want is what i am reading, what i see. Well, when i am reviewing for exams, i more likely reviewing while watching a television, i still can focus reading my notes unlike when reading a novel. In addition, i more likely used to listen music when i am answering assignments and reading my notes for some references.

What? Haha. Hmmm. Nobody forces me to read so i can stop whenever i want when reading a novel. In addition, i do not read novels when it was boring on the first chapter and i do not want the story. I only choose best stories. Haha. When i heard music while reading a novel, i got distracted so it either i will force to stop the music or my reading itself. Haha. Have a good day.

Serious reading in fact does not go well with the music system plugged in to your ears. There would definitely be quite a lot of distractions when reading and music are mingled inadvertently.

I can somehow manage to play music while reading, even studying, when I was still in school. It helps me take away other distractions around like a dog barking, sound of a vehicle passing by, noisy kids running around, etc. It sets the right mood for me to accomplish my tasks. Im playing music right now, as I write and respond to discussions.
