I have just been wondering lately...

A lot of famous UFO sightings have been proven to be hoaxes over time. There are still believers on the internet and there are quite a lot of communities that are still active. The thing is that many people made up UFO stories to catch people's attention they were later labeled scammer and liars so I guess people are a little more careful about what they make public. There are always mysteries around regarding UFOs so the truth about such sightings we can never know. Some people even say that world leaders are aliens in disguise which I find extremely hard to believe. I do respect everyones opinion even I find it funny. :-)

i think its because a lot of people juyst dont want to be chastised about it. many may still see them and not say anythingthats what im thinking.

Over at Gather, on the Skywords side there have been lots of things written about reports of UFO's so they are being talked about. I guess it just depends on what we are reading. That is the only place I have been hearing it, though.

I think they do not bring enough people into watching so the media ignores anything people see for "better" stories.

I hear of sightings from time to time, but have never actually seen a UFO. I used to have to drive through a county that was famous for sightings here in the UK every night. I used to look very carefully, but never saw a thing! Makes me wonder what is going on, and why there are so many recorded sightings. The videos that are shown do not convince me. Many of them look like lights in the sky, that could be anything.. I would like to see some footage of one actually landing. There is no mistaking an aeroplane landing, even at night. So who knows what it's all about... _Derek

It's true, I've not heard any in a while. I am wondering why myself, to be honest. Now I don't believe that aliens come to our world to harm us, so while I do believe there are most likely aliens out there in the universe, they would most likely be able to disguise themselves whilst coming to our planet. Act average like anyone else would and adapt.

They live among us.

They were secretly watching our tv news and reading all newspapers and seeing the contents they decided that we humans are a despicable race and not worth interacting with.Moreover seeing how we are destroying our planet they concluded that they will have more problems in hand if they take over, so they quietly decided to disappear from view and search for better prospects elsewhere.If you come across any UFO or alien, tell him to vamoose otherwise he may get cancer, malaria or even AIDS.

It is kind of odd. There for a while these stories were everywhere. I remember even seeing something on the history channel and thinking it was an odd place to have an alien show.

When you mention about this UFO, I am reminded about the news which I read about the radiation affected marine animals at this Japan recently. Those undersea animals which exposed to the radiation had changed their DNA and their outlook in order for them to survive. In what I am guessing, those aliens whom I have seen in the newspaper have the same particular look as those radiation affected marine animals. This is solely my personal guess. I am not sure if those aliens are also the same as those marine animals which are affected by the radiation. However, there isn't any UFO in my country Malaysia all of the while or may be there is, but no one can notice it because my country is a place full with the tropical jungle. It is very hard for us to reach those remote area.

I haven't heard any reports of alien sitings recently. Well, I have heard one last year. Probably the reason why we don't hear any more alien or grey stories is that people no longer believe in it. I, for one, do not believe in the existence of such beings.

It's like Murphy's Law. When we didn't have cameras immediately available for 'picture-taking-proof', the UFO sightings may have been 'more' popular; and being that now-a-days, just about everyone has a camera-phone, those good ol' UFO sightings may be (not so surprisingly) 'less' popular. It's just a hunch. What do you think?

not here in the Philippines but i can remember that this was so rampant back then when i was so much younger. i was sure that i get to hear a lot of these sightings back in my elementary days. :D

I don't think so. Actually I think that the UFO news are more often than before. I remember last time there was an UFO in Hangzhou airport. This might happen last year. Although we all knew the truth. But so far we knew that due to it all the flights had to be delayed. And some people even caught photos for it. I love China

The only people who have seen aliens where I live have been drunk or high. I guess if they haven't been seen in my area, it's because people are too broke to get drunk and high.

I think that they really figured out that we humans will eventually reproduce ourselves out of existence and do something stupid, that there is no need for them to really take us over. Perhaps they have discovered something that is more fitting them human beings to populate their race. There has to be something that is more evolved then us. Or perhaps they just took a wrong turn at Albuquerque. I'm sure someone has seen something but perhaps not. Perhaps we have just imagined all of these things. Perhaps I am secretly one of them. Perhaps you are. Perhaps we all are but don't know it until the proper moment where they will begin their conquest of the universe. Obviously many questions, no answers, and there is enough insanity on the ground to worry about other things.

I could still watch some kinda topics in the internet .. But it's not as controversial as it was because maybe people have understood it critically ... the notions of UFOs and the aliens..
