Honestly she is not chubby, she is curvy. She got curves, nice bumper and nice back fender too. Okay she's not a car (lols) She's a little sad right now because she feels she's getting chubby. She's about to attend a wedding wherein she's the bridesmaid. But, she's having trouble choosing what gown to wear due to her curvy figure. I am also having hard time convincing she's not chubby- but she is curvy. I know she did gained few weights- but she's not fat. How can I cheer her and convince she still looks good. Please, don't suggest diet- the wedding will takes place next week. Happy Wednesday everyone jaiho®- real chubby 4-18-2012 4:09pm Wednesday PT

hey sweetie... missed you... she needs a hug. plenty of it. and she needs to be around other women with plenty of curves... hehe she could pay me a visit sometime. but seriously, we are only as beautiful and as sexy as we make ourselves feel. this is an insecurity for most of people who love food. i used to feel that way. but we do have to love our own skin... or else, who will? regardless of size and shape... clinically speaking, the fats create the shape and a hint of softness... otherwise we'll just be like sticks. this is from someone who has plenty of curves (lol) and i mean big curves... imagine 42/44 C/D before but has managed to fit into a 38 B/C now... well still a lot curvy. lol

Here is the truth about chubbiness! Girls care. Girls try to compare themselves to other rail-thin, anemic-looking girls. Because a girl on a magazine might be skinny, another girl might say, "OMG! I want to be THAT skinny!" Guys don't care. Guys like curvy. We like cars! So it's very, very weird! Girls want to be thin because they want everyone else to see them and think "WOW! She's thin! She's hot!" But you girls mostly want other girls to think that. The people who really care how you look, guys, don't really matter to you when you're evaluating your looks. Tell her to embrace it! Instead of being curvy and holding her head down with no confidence, tell her to hold her head high, be flirty, always smile, and to shake what her mama gave her! Any type of body is only as good as a girl's attitude. We wear our bodies like clothing. If you want to pull off "curvy," then be sassy with a touch of frisky and a dash of sexy. But don't shrivel up inside yourself and think that you're chubby. That's when everyone else notices a tiny little hermit crab of a girl living inside of a shell that's too large.

hello materfish, I am sure she will get some relief after she reads your comment. I sent your comment to her fb account. I told her the same thing- guys like cars (whatever) And honestly she's not fat- but have curves not every girls have. She's even lucky to have those curves naturally while other girls are dying to have. Thanks for your kind words and have a good day

Salwar kameez - costume for a chubby woman for hiding the flabs
hi di your friend is worried about her weight or being curvy or being chubby... and on the other hand I am worried about me being a boney skeleton We seem to be on the opposite sides of the coin... How about some surgery to transfer some of her weight and fat onto me I know the dates wont allow this long but... Anyways, for the wedding, I think finding a right costume which would make her loot a little taller should help. Though viju has put up the Indian Saree above, I would suggest finding a Salwar Kurta (another Indian costume) should be fine as it can have extra cloth to hide what she doesnt want to show.

hi jaiho remind her that a lot of famous actresses are curvyand they are really great stars too so curvy is not chubby. also assure her most guys prefer some curves versus bean pole skinny. So if famous stars can be curvy and make lots of money then she can be curvy too and not be ashamed of her curves. She will be very pretty as a'bridesmaid in a dress made for curvy women.

Where does the wedding usually take place? At the church? Or you have another wedding party after the church ceremonial gathering? Let me know as I have no idea how the wedding is organized in other religions.

hello yanzalong, Usually wedding takes place in church and reception followed. Reception could be at the bride's place or in a rented place. But in these modern times, some couples choose to have a different place to have a romantic ambiance. Some choose along the beach and take their vows during sunset. Some choose a garden wedding with fairy tales concept. That depends on the couple's choice. But most commonly- weddings takes place in church. Thanks and have a great day

LOL. I have heard that, there doesn't exist two things in the world. One is women who are not on a diet. The other is men who don't give a hoot to their height. So it can't be more ordinary for your friend to worry about her weight.

hello captinjack, I agree, most women are too conscious when it comes to weight and body measurement- I am also one of them (lols) Well, as long as one know how to carry themselves- there won't be any problem. My friend is just conscious because she's one of the primary sponsors on such a big event. thanks and have a good day

I know how she feels my dear jai as I feel gowns wont look good on me now because of my big tummy, waaa!!! I don't like my tummy now. And looking at the mirror wearing my swim suits frustrates me,good thing our swimming was postpones, lol! Just tell your friend to wear a gown that is not that fitting to make her look sexy still. I usually wear some loose clothes especially in my tummy part so my bog tummy wont be that obvious, lol!

Sari - indian traditional wear - For those who want to know sari.. attached a pic.
Hi, Even if she’s fat, she can choose a gown which is plus the size and not a tight fitted one. The loose costume can give her a slimmer look. I think she would look fine with vertical stripes rather than printed gowns. Choosing the right dress for the occasion is difficult but I would suggest she should wear the one in which she is comfortable and looks sweet. In India we have a variety of Sari suiting the requirements of curvy, fatty, thin & skinny ladies.. LOL No dear, I am not asking her to be on any diet rather she might go for a facial massage and light make up. Happy wednesday to u too friend...

hello wonderboy, Oh dear heavens- if I act as a perfect mirror to her- she will be horrified then (hahahaha) just kidding. She's not fat honestly- she's indeed curvy, lucky to have been blessed with nice bumper and back fender (whatever) Not every girls are lucky to have natural curves. Some are dying to go under knives to attain those curves that she has. So, I am just being honest to her- she should be proud of. I admit she did gained few pounds- but still not enough to make her fat. She's just too conscious since she will be wearing a very sexy gown on that occasion. Thanks and have a good day

Well, say she's pretty after all;). What's important there is the wedding and the bride itself. Just tell her, there's nothing to worry about. No matter how she looks, she still fits. If she tells she's chubby, tell her, chubby but super sexy ;), well, in personality. Tell her to feel confident with herself because beauty follows after that.

oh i think a lot of girls do become curvy and tends to gain a few pounds and well a few pounds will almost always be that one factor that makes us feel really uncomfortable with ourselves. :D hmm i sure hope she is wearing a very good designed dress that would compliment her body type so her weight won't be really be that obvious.

Hi jaiho: Probably it's all psychological and she is thinking too much about her weighting. Just advice her not to be so obsessed with her shape and if she is healthy she should not try to lose more weight. People can have a nice body just by having a healthy life, eating the right things and doing some exercise. ALVARO

I think that is very hard to explain especailly when she noticed that herself. Just tell her that let her be herself. Enjoy the day of the wedding and dont mind those who will say that she gained weight or that she is chubby. may be htey are just envy of her. you go girl. such a nice friend

Help her find a good dress. Better to do with the styles that she likes. We can't do anything to change how she sees herself but help her to find a good dress for the wedding. Hmmmm.. identify what part of her body she doesn't like at the moment; example (big) shoulders.. then look for a dress that wouldn't draw people's attention to her shoulders but would still makes her sexy and daring.. I hope I've given you an idea.. have fun!

Hello jai Why not try to make her wear a girdle or a corset... I think that will help her shape up her body. Honestly I haven't tried it but a friend bought a corset and wear it on her wedding day. She said it can make her waist look a little smaller.

There is a honest different between being chubby, and being curvy. Show her some pictures of chubby women on the internet and compare them to her. Also, some people don't have boobs or a butt even when they're chubby. Erm, you could cheer her up with the fact that she is indeed curvy.
