Sometimes when i am in a terrible hurry to get over with a conversation, i use these generic repetitive phrases or lingos that dont really make any sense standing apart, but manage to convey the intended meaning to the listener...all hail the power of sign language, i guess! well here are some of the phrases i use :
yakkity yakkity yak, blah-blah-blah, yada yada yada... Does that sound crazy?

these phrases sound rude to me. there must be a better way to signal to the one talking with you that you are in a hurry and have no time to chat at that time. for me, nothing beats honestly saying that you are in a hurry. the other person will definitely understand you unless s/he has something very important to tell you too. other than that, it is better to say that you are in a hurry.

Well i dont do this with my boss or seniors or for that matter during a conversation that is of prime importance. This is mostly during some really lengthy narrative from my end and amongst friends who understand :) i cannot obviously say yakkity yak when boss demands a weekly report! :D

Well I don't think that I would ever use those phrases, but I would try and rush the conversation to a conclusion, when I am ready to go somewhere. Trying to give the people a hint that yeah, I'm sure whatever you are saying is just riveting, world changing things, but I really do in fact have to get running before too long and get out of here.
As for your potential craziness, who in this world is sane really? I think the entire world is insane, we are just living in it. There are people who would be far more rude than that, trust me, I've met them. Then again, there is nothing out there that really is too crazy, well I shouldn't say that, there are only a handful of things that are too crazy for me to not be able to wrap my head around. That is just one of them.
