Worst for sodium

I heard that Canadian fast food outlets are the worst for having too much sodium in their food. I'm not surprised. People should not eat at fast food places if they are concerned for their health. I hardly ever eat out anymore. I'd rather cook at home then I can control how much salt I use and so on. I hope the government can take steps to make the fast food places in Canada use less sodium because people will continue to eat at these places. The obesity problem and heart problems people have will only get worse if something isn't done. Processed foods also contribute to health problems and fast food places use a lot of processed food too. Your thoughts, my lot, friends!

Honestly I'm a bit surpsised that the same Canada which is strict about the foods that are brought in the country doesn't care about this. Not only germs are harmful but so are foods that contain high sodium. Hopefully something will be done about this, I don't know who has benefit from making so many people sick, there are a lot who eat fast food.

I think sugar and salt are addictive so that's why people eat at fast food places time and time again. Perhaps, it the salt and sugar adds to the taste then they should come up with some good substitutes for them that will still make the food taste good but not be harmful or addictive.

They are addictive. It's hard to replace sugar and salt with anything else without changing the taste a bit. I'm afraid they would lose more customers who will stop buying their food because it doesn't taste like it did, than won those who will be happy about the healthier choice. It can be okay to eat food which is stuffed with these additives - if someone eats it just once in a while. But many people literally live on this food and that's worrisome.

I don't like KFC anymore, especially their fries, I think they are gross. It's not like around ten years ago, it seems like their chicken tasted better then.

I order a salad and throw out the dressing. They give us in the usa 2 Tblespoons of dressing and some of it is 800 to a thousand mg of sodium. I also have, during slow times, asked them to give me the dressing with the least amount of sodium to give them the message.

I hope the government will change laws in regard to how much sodium fast food places can have in their food because I understand that we should only be having about thirty grams a day and they have as much as a thousand in their food.

Thy will lose business if they make food healthier. I can't stand flat fries. Burger king has always left the salt off the fries or gone easy on the salt. I hate them. I'd go to mc Donalds to get a saltier fry. What I'm saying is this...people want their fast food to taste a certain way. They can eat healthy food at home. They want a treat when they go to fast food. If I have a choice between apple slices and fries. I'll pick the fries. If they took their junk food off the market they would lose money.

There is a sugar substitute out there so I wonder if maybe they could come up with a salt substitute that wouldn't be as harmful to your health.
